Not made out of the best wood with panels variable. The trellis is fine and once assembled is sturdy. It has a lattice bottom which you can stand pots in or remove that and plant them in the ground - you could fill the planter with soil but I would suggest lining it first. The bags soil comes in are ideal. To fit in my garden I have painted it with grey/green preservative to match my shed. I am so pleased I have ordered two more.
