Good product
It checks all the boxes you think it would. I like them but the only thing I don’t like is where the seam is, where you put in the inserts is on the back of the diaper… It adds bulk and creates hard marks on my babies back, babies sleep on their backs! Duh! Idk who thought to put the seam on the back but I would say that’s a major design flaw. It seems tho that all reusable diapers are like that tho.. I wish there was a brand that had the insert opening seam on the front.

Our favourite cloth diapers
I was new to cloth diapering and based on what I had read online I bought 3 different brands of pocket diapers to get us started and see what worked for us best. After 5 months of use these are by far my favorite, however, they are on the bigger side which is great for longevity of use but meant they didn't fit him until he was about a month old (he was 8lb 5oz, 22 inches at birth) where our mama koalas did. Good quality with fun patterns, they wash really well and I like the 3 snap closure. The bamboo inserts are a must in my opinion even if they are more expensive. Around 2 months he was consistently having leaks at night even when we double stuffed inserts and I was almost ready to give up cloth diapers at night all together. I did some online searching that suggested they were all compression leaks from the microfiber inserts - along his low back - and since we have transitioned to all bamboo inserts we have had only a couple of leaks over a 3 month period.

Cute but one came with a stain
I am new to cloth diapering so I have been buying up a bunch of cloth diapers and unfortunately one of the diapers from ALVABABY had a stain on the inside liner and I could not wash it out. I know this shouldn't affect the absorbency but it is just disappointing to see and I haven't even used any of my cloth diapers yet

Decent for the price
You get what you pay for. For anyone new to cloth diapering, you’ll want to buy separate inserts, preferably hemp or (Cotton is alright too), because these are just not very absorbent. The waterproof shell does a great job of wicking the moisture away at least. I’ve used these for a couple weeks now, and one diaper has a broken snap. It’s one of the three male snaps on one side, so the diaper’s useless. The patterns are very cute, but the material is thin so my charcoal Bamboo inserts can be seen through the lighter colors.

MF inserts <<< any other kind
The inserts that came with it weren’t up to par for my heavy wetter, however I already have plenty inserts to stuff and double stuff all my diapers, so it was no big deal. Just repurpose the MFs for swiffer pads and burp cloths

Do it!
This was my first try with Alvas, and I am impressed. Great wear, design, and price point. Easy to use, even my daycare provider is game! I will likely purchase again! Thanks Alva!
