Have a Question? See What Others Asked

There are conflicting answers to the top two questions above. That is, one answer says 8 CDs per sheet (4 x 2 sides), and the other says 4 (2 x 2)...?
How strong are the two wide thin plastic pieces holding the pages into the booklet? Will they break after a year or two of use?
Apparently Case has given two products the same id number (CDW208). I need to be sure these inserts hold 8 cd's to a page, not 4.
Is there room for the cd and the insert in each slot????

I got one for 2 of our vehicles

These are simple and basic, with no fancy plastic rings to break, The liner seems soft enough that it will not scratch the discs and it holds enough to keep the rotation fresh, without being so big it is cumbersome. They just drop into the console or glove box and keep my CDs in some semblance of order and protected, while still being easy to go through.

Buyer Beware....Not all DVD/CD/Blu-Ray binders are the same!

A binder should protect DVDs and CDs, not RUIN them! I bought a Case Logic 208-disk binder about seven years ago. It is still holding up and not one disk inside is chafed! About three years ago, I ran out of room in my orginal Case Logic binder as my collection grew and bought some Staples-branded cheepie binder at Staples by mistake to have as a second binder! I have noticed lately that the disks stored in that cheap thing are starting to chafe on the recording surfaces. It looks like the criss-cross pattern of the fabric of the pocket liners is making impressions in the disks on the recorded sides! I usually store my binders laying flat and the disks toward the bottom have a lot of weight on top of them and this is no doubt from the pressure put on the bottom pages from the top ones. The disks toward the bottom have the worse chafing. I looked at my two binders more closely. The cheepie has rougher material in the pocket liners just by touch. The Case Logic has soft material so now I know better. Not all disk binders are the same by a damn sight! From now on it is Case Logic. I just ordered a new Case Logic here at amazon.com to replace my cheepie binder before those 200+ DVD movies get wrecked beyond playback ability. They are fortunately not chafed so badly that they have trouble playing, yet. This model looks like the exact same one I have had for seven years. Those multi-TB hard drives are just too expensive still. Otherwise, I would rip and backup my disk movies on that.Get Case Logic binders for DVD, CD and Blu-Ray storage. They have patented protective ProSleeves to keep dirt away to prevent scratching of delicate disk surface and soft no-scratch cloth pocket liners. The cheap thing I have feels like it has synthetic abrasive liners.

The best CD/DVD solution I have found so far

These cases have decent quality and design and none of the quality and design flaws I found with other cases. The CDs or DVDs fit properly (not too snug), the CDs/DVDs don't overlap the plastic of the holder above (which might damage the CD over time), the slot for removing CD is open at the end so that you can remove the CD easily in a single motion, and the pockets are robust enough that I didn't crease them while inserting CDs or DVDs. The other cases I tried failed on some of these points. The case is well-padded and the stitching is even with a few minor exceptions in the 12 cases I have. Some reviews have commented that the material on the sides of the case is flimsy compared to the material used in the past. While the material does feel a bit thin, it seems completely adequate - I tried pulling on it fairly hard and it didn't tear. The one thing to be careful about is that the bottom (playing) side of a CD or DVD in one of the top pockets could brush against the case zipper and get scratched. If you aren't the type who will remove and insert the CD or DVD very carefully, or remember to fold the zipper under the pockets, you might want to consider a safer design.I preferred these to the Bellagio binders that I also have. The Case Logic holders store twice as many CDs or DVDs for close to the same price per unit and in 25-35% bookshelf space. I didn't feel the Bellagio binders protected the CDs and DVDs as well because the backs of the CDs/DVDs overlap the plastic above them and the CDs/DVDs aren't protected from dust. If you put the Bellagio binders on a bookshelf with other books, their black "antique book" appearance doesn't fit in well (unless you happen to have a bookshelf filled with antique books), whereas I though the Case Logic cases fit in better. If your bookshelf only has the Bellagio binders and no books, they would probably look better. If you have a very large CD or DVD collection, larger cases might be more suitable and cost-effective. Unfortunately, the larger cases I tried, including ones from Case Logic, had design features I wasn't happy with so I ended up with around 15 of these.
