I was suspicious if this very affordable glucose monitor would do its job and to my surprise, it far exceeds my expectation. Let me get the neg out of the way first. Connecting to its Bluetooth was a nightmare, just wasn't able to connect after 10+ tries. Found a YouTube video that help solve the issue, basically had to go to Bluetooth setting in iPhone and forget the CareSensNPlus (my model) device from My list (from previous failed connections), and then follow instruction to reconnect Bluetooth. After that I was successful in the connection, and thereafter, the Bluetooth has been solid, all measurement automatically uploads to iPhone once you pull out the test strip. I don't have any other monitor to compare but to me everything is solid and very easy to use, and nothing seems flimsy or will break anytime soon. I think its fairly accurate although again i don't have much to compare against, but it seems reasonable from my clinic test result, and has been fairly consistent from all of my testings. I'll likely get another kit to verify. The lancet tool is easy to use, just insert the lanset and twist the top. It has an adjustable needle length which is nice so you don't poke a larger than needed. A really nice touch is that It came with a very nice soft pouch that stores everything you needed on the go. I didn't think this would be useful but if i go to work, i can take it with me without looking for another bag that's not made for it. The pouch just holds everything neatly in place with its elastic straps and zipper pocket

I've used a number of different glucose meters over the years and this is as good as any but at a much better price. I know, I know, most of us get a meter for free from our doctor or insurance. But those are like men's razors, the device is free but the strips will put you in debt! I've had meters where the test strips cost $1 apiece! These cost me 26 cents each (including tax).The strips themselves are quite reliable and easy to use. Very few "mis-reads" where you waste a strip because it didn't pull enough blood for the test (or just didn't work). Maybe 1 or 2 failed tests per 100.The required sample size is quite small. You won't have to "open a vein" to test, as it felt like with one meter I had!This device also has bluetooth connectivity. So, if you want, you can install their app and the meter will automatically sync with your phone so that it's easier to view results and observe trends. But if you don't want to, the meter works perfectly by itself.

I want to take time to talk about this product. I only do this when I find a product that is exceptional or terrible. Today it is exceptional. I have used this device for about three months now and to use it is rather simple, but I did have trouble pairing. It may be because I am not a computer geek, but I had to call two different times to get my App on my phone to detect and pair the device. It works well when you are able to follow the instructions, but there is also some things that need to be considered, like removing the device from the BT devices and re-registering it again. This was a small glitch, but with the customer support, it was very easy. The two people I talked to were excellent. I greatly appreciate their professionalism and expertise in getting me up and running.I also want to say that the test strips are economical when compared to other brands. I did compare and found that this brand is a good price. I'm a happy camper and hope to not need this device forever, as I am getting my blood sugar level down, since I am able to see the results of my food intake and how that measures out with the numbers as I check my blood sugar daily before breakfast. Learning to live with diabites and how to control my blood sugar level will help me to live a better life and have better health for the long term scenario.

I specifically bought this glucose monitor as it has Bluetooth capability, or so I had thought.This item arrived this morning and as I am a type 1 diabetic and HEAVILY RELY on life saving medical equipment such as this, I used it right away. My last supply of test strips ran out so I treated myself to a new “better” device.Well turns out the Bluetooth capability of this device is hit or miss at best. Based off of previous reviews I’ve seen for this item, this is an issue that has happened before, to which they were able to resolve the issue and ended up with a replacement.After about an hour of trying to connect the device to my iPhone 13, I called Amazon Customer service to talk about getting a replacement. Well, the person I spoke with seemed VERY uneducated about the connectivity process and telling me to do things that weren’t even listed in the directions for toubleshooting. Almost a whole nother hour of my life I just wasted and it didn’t even come to a resolution.He wanted me to return the item (even though I had USED it already), and then wait the 3-5 business days for the refund to hit before placing another order for this device!Didn’t even offer an exchange, just basically said you’re SOL I guess.Last time I EVER by necessary medical Supplies from Amazon. Gross
