It was exactly as described. I had bought a previous product, same type of container, different brand. It had a silicone seal around the inner lid. Supposedly it was dishwasher safe. It was not. The silicone seal warped and the container did not seal properly. First container I had ever purchased that had a silicone seal( I will always go the description more thoroughly). This container is great.
