The product was easy to install and use. Simple plug and use. It has made it so much easier forme to use my lamps without getting out of bed.

These may not be pretty, but they work *very* well. In fact, I've been using one for over a year, and just picked up this two-pack for some other lights in my house.One of the nice, convenient things about them is that they extend from where you can turn your lamp on and off (so if, for example, your lamp is behind a couch, or in a corner, you can put the disk on a side table next to the couch and turn the light on and off from there, instead of having to reach behind the couch). The wire between the controller and the disk is at least 6 feet long, so you can really make things super-convenient!The way that they work is this:You plug the dimmer device (the controller) into your electrical outlet, and then you plug your lamp into the box of the dimmer device.Now, you see that disk? You put that by the lamp (or really wherever you want it within the reach of its cord), and you simply touch the disk - once for very low light, twice for medium light, and a third touch gives you full brightness. Touch it again to turn it off.Brilliant!And, again, the wire between the controller and the disk is at least 6 feet long (I've seen some say 8 feet, I'm not near where I can measure it right now), so in addition to giving your lamp three intensities, instead of always "full brightness", you now can put the on/off switch wherever you want, instead of it being only at the lamp itself!At under $10 a piece, these are a little slice of "why didn't I set this up sooner" heaven!

Ive had them before and ordered more for my new place as the lamp placement is much different. Highly recommend these! Great for dimmable LEDs!

I am woman hear me roar but electrical isn’t my cup of tea!

I just received mine today and tried one out. I didn't realized the lamp would have to be metal, until I read the description more carefully while waiting for them to be delivered. I tried anyway, and it would not stay on.So I read the questions, and one of the answers was that the bulb has to be an old fashioned one. I had CFL bulb in my lamp, so I switched it to an older bulb. No part of my lamp is metal, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try.As soon as I tapped the pad, the light came on as promised. And, it has 3 levels of brightness.It is also perfect on my computer desk, I always had to stretch to turn it off and on. All my other lamps have energy saving bulbs, which are almost always on. I had forgotten how much softer light a regular bulb puts out...my computer area is cozy looking, now. The dimmer is one of those nifty things in life that I wish I had years ago.

Can’t say enough good things. I’ve tried other converters, and never found something that worked this well and this reliably. Doesn’t burn the bulb out, doesn’t flicker, is consistently responsive. Black touch button is extremely sensitive - even a light brush against it turns the light on. Turns any bulb into a 3-way light.Because it uses this button/touch pad, the lamp doesn’t have to have metal on it anywhere like with most converters. Also, you don’t have to reach the lamp; you can place the button much closer to you. I used a double-stick strip from a command hook to mount the button to the side of my nightstand. You could similarly mount it to a headboard, or keep it fixed in one spot on a desk or tabletop.2 per package is a great deal. I love these, they make great gifts. They’re ideal for anyone with mobility or arthritis issues, too.

I like these, but be warned, I had to order this product THREE times to get two devises that worked. Twice I got my order and one of the dimmers was a dud. The bedside lamps that my husband and I have are beautiful but not very user friendly(I take all the blame) The switches are almost impossible to reach unless you contort your hand in a crazy position to get it under the lamp shade. We have used remote clickers in the past but they always quit working after a while and you have to locate a remote int he dark. These are great because you can feel them on your bedside table. I really like these and they work very well as long as you get two that actually work. My first order came with one working touch pad and one that was defective. The touch pad should have four touches: nightlight, dim, bright, and off. The defective one did nightlight, dim, bright, and bright and never had an off feature. Because the two pack is cheaper I returned both and reordered. So far so good and a whole lot easier to use than the remote controlled clicker devices

These things are awesome! I use them on my bedside lamps and they did everything I was hoping. I like my lamps to be further away from the bed so I can have table room for phone and water, but it was difficult to turn them on and off from bed. I was thinking about a clapper, but with dogs I didn't think that would go well. Then I found this which allows me to keep the lamps away from the bed, but easy to turn on and off.The product is very easy to install; unplug the lamp, plug this in, plug the lamp ino this. The touch pad is VERY sensitive and allows for 3 way dimming (touch 1 on, touch 2 brighter, touch 3 brightest, touch 4 off). The touch pad is also very light, so I am considering putting 3M sticky on the back and mounting it to the side of my head board or nightstand.
