Perfect for what I wanted. Good selection, handy box which is well labelled.There is quite a bit of variation in thickness, the M2 is about 0.5mm, the M6 is about 1.3mm, and the M10 is about 1.6mm. However, even within one size I found significant variation, for example the M6 ranges from 1.0mm to 1.6mm, with most of them 1.3-1.4mm so if you're using them as shims and you need matching ones it's a good idea to get your calipers out and match them yourself.The box has one long fixed central divider, and the other dividers are slotted in and removable - it's probably a good idea to put a blob of blutack in to prevent the divider lifting between M2 and M2.5 because you really don't want those two almost identical sizes getting mixed together, hahahaha, would be a nightmare to re-sort them.The box comes with a loose thin foam insert in the lid to help stop the washers sneaking into other compartments in transit, mine arrived perfectly sorted but I suspect the foam is a touch too thin to keep them that way for very long when it's been rattled around in the toolbox for a while so I'd recommend using a layer or two of something else like fleece material or foam, whatever you have to hand, and stick it in with double-sided tape or a few dots of glue, then you won't have to sort your washers :o)I checked with a magnet, magnetic attraction is extremely low so it's likely these are indeed stainless steel although I don't know what grade. I want to use some outdoors to shim up the hinges on a greenhouse door so I'm reasonably confident they'll not go rusty - if I'm wrong I'll report back!

I can't really fault this kit. I haven't used the washers outdoor or on my car restoration, so I can't comment on the corrosion resistance of the zinc electroplate. In addition, even the M10 washers (and you only get 20 of these) are only 1mm thick and the smaller the washer the thinner they get. So perhaps not as substantial as washers you'd buy from proper trade suppliers specialising in fixings, etc. However, you get 50 of every size from M2 to M6 (including M2.5!!) and 40 M8 washers in addition to the 20 M10. A nice little pocket-sized plastic clip case to keep everything compartmentalised too. What's not to like?

I had for many decades a small plastic bottle of mixed washers which went missing in a house reorganisation. These new one are less varied, but have met my occasional needs for several months, and the sorting of sizes into different compartments is helpful. They seem to be exactly as described.

This washer set is all you need for your Home/DIY project. And great price at that.

Building up a small stock for hobby projects. The washers are well made and finished and will be used on outside applications in the main as I wanted a bit of stainless steel quality to stop the rust. Cant see any reason why they wont work.
