A nice soft pillow for your weary head. Not too soft and not too firm - it's just right.

On opening the handy zip bag the pillow cases come in (that bag has already been re-used as a sewing kit holder) these cases seem beautifully smooth and soft. Unfortunately after one wash - 40 degrees cotton cycle - that lovely soft texture disappears and you're left with two basic white cotton pillow cases that need a a lot of fabric conditioner to be anything less than scratchy.On the plus side, they didn't shrink much. After the machine wash, a few hours on the washing line, then a few minutes in the tumble dyer, they'd only shrunk about 1.5 inches along the length. Not enough shrinkage to make any real difference.After washing, these pillow cases were on a par with John Lewis's basics range. Same size, same shrinkage, same texture. But these Silentnight cases are around £4 cheaper. Are they better than a real basics range from the low end High Street? Well they are thicker fabric and wider cut than Primark's range, but that's not necessarily a recommendation.

Good Quality, not expensive, fit nicely on my pillows. I always find cotton the best.Colour was not what I expected, more light peachy than pink but decided not to return, I have 4 pillows on my bed and often use different colour pillowcases for each pillow, it's a bit different.I would recommend these, just make sure to choose the correct colour.

These silky smooth, cool fresh cotton pillowcases have such a luxurious feel to them.They are 180 thread count percale but being so fine I would only use them with a pillowcase protector or another white cotton pillowcase to act as a protector. The stitching is perfect.They come neatly folded in a zipped clear plastic case, ideal for a special present.

I think the comfort factor in pillows is down to the pillow itself and not the pillow case. These are nice enough and feel quite good. They wash ok but do need a lot of ironing. Could I tell the difference between these and my normal pillowcases? No probably not.

Nice cotton pillow case covers. Great for using underneath your normal case as a protector. Packaging is a bit OTT.

Cotton is cotton right? Well, that's what I thought. Having used these now, I'm not sure what's different about them - but something is! They feel luxurious is the only way I can put it. By comparison the run of the mill ones I was using before feel a bit like fine-grit sandpaper. I shall definitely be getting more of these.
