Mentholatum Nighttime Vaporizing Rub with Soothing Lavender,1

I've only ever used Vicks my entire life. I am a 60 year old woman and have one daughter and I only used Vicks on her as well. She's had pneumonia 13 times in her 35 years and those were all before the age of 13 so we've used a ton of it also. I was reading the ingredients one day for what reason I have no idea and noticed it has Turpentine oil in it. I don't want that on my skin so I literally threw away all of my Vicks and ordered this the same day. When I received it I wasn't sure it would be enough because I couldn't really smell anything but I was very wrong. It has the same effect that Vicks does without all of that smell to it. It really opens up your nasal and bronchial passages well and you're breathing well in no time! I actually like the smell of Vicks but I really LOVE the smell of this. It must be the Lavender, it is not strong but it is so soothing and nice! Lavender is one of my favorite smells so that is a plus. It is subtle, not strong smelling. I add a bit under my nose and that is the best!

Scent is "perfumy", not like natural essential oils at all. Within 3 minutes of applying, my skin began to itch and burn with a fiery rash.

I love the aroma of this product. When I apply it on skin, it feels cool. I don't know if this product treats allergy. I have allergy everyday, running nose, very frustrating. I apply it around my nose (not inside) and my running nose is gone. Someone with running nose allergy may try it. It works for me.

When I received the delivery the Mentholatum was melted to be very soft because of Tucson’s triple digit temperatures. There were ice packs in the box but had melted because of the hot weather. However, other than I was happy to receive it!! I would recommend it!!I

The lavender smells phony and made me feel kind of nauseous as I am fragrance sensitive. High quality lavender usually agrees with me. Think I will stick with tried and true original mentholatum from now on.

Love all Mentholatum products. I personally like the original menthol smell but my kids love the lavender. Really soothing to use at night.

I use it to sleep

This is a little more expensive on Amazon than in the dollar store- if you can find it- but you need to get yourself some. I just discovered it this past month and I liked it so much that I sent it to my sister and niece this winter. Not only does it clear out your nasal passages without that harsh scent, it works great on your hands! Mine were dry and had little cuts from washing them so much this winter. I kept this jar by the sink put it on after washing or doing dishes and my hands healed in a couple days. Smells good too!

I use it every night, soothing and calming. Smells good!
