Good while it lasted
Worked so well for one season! However, even though it was carefully stored over the winter, it just stopped working after just two days this season.

Step Away
I just missed the warranty {?} of 30 days by 5 days.I installed this solar fountain (AISITIN DIY Solar Water Pump Kit for Water Feature Outdoor, Solar Powered Water Fountain Pump with 6 Nozzles for Bird Bath, Ponds, Garden, Fish Tank ) a week ago.It does not work consistantly. Gets clogged and not able to clean.Stopped today for good.I would rec. staying away from this item. You get what you pay for.PS. I have 3 other solar fountains

Unfortunately it didn't last long...
I purchased this fountain in October 2024 to put in a solar fountain in my front garden (LOTS of sun). It worked well for about two and a half months, then just stopped. I could get it to work again by unplugging the solar panel then plugging it back in, or shaking the pump, or putting water on the panel, or adjusting the panel's angle to try and get more sun, but that got to be less and less successful. As of now, I can sometimes get it to work for about 2 minutes after fifteen minutes of adjustments. Once it stops, it stops. I've had other pumps that have been going for over a year - this one just doesn't seem to have a long life.

Super easy to install
The motor started to work the moment I stepped onto my patio. Set up in moments. Has a very sturdy flow, even without any of the several extra sprayer choices. Excellent price, too.

Almost but not quite - will only work for very specific setups
First off, the pump is tiny but seems to work fine when the solar panel is in full sun. I picked this one because it was described as having a tempered glass solar panel, and I'm frustrated that on so many different solar powered tchotchkes like this, the plastic coating over the solar cells degrade after a year or so and eventually stops working. However, I'm not sure that this is actually glass, it feels an awful lot like plastic, so I'm not optimistic regarding durability. The biggest problem I have and why I rated this down is that the cable from the solar panel to the pump is permanently attached at both ends. Most of these have a connector so that you can detach one end of the cable to thread it through the base of a fountain. Now I just have the cable dangling over the side of the fountain, which is unsightly and will probably keep getting disturbed and I'll have to reposition it. This also makes it impossible to extend the cable if I need to place the solar panel further away to be exposed to full sun. And you really need the panel to be in full, direct sun for it to work. Even a slight shading of the panel causes the water to either pulsate on and off, barely flow, or just not work. They seem to make the solar panels JUST barely big enough to run the pump, so there's no extra to accommodate less than perfect sunlight. The second problem I have is that there is no way to mount the solar panel. It is just a small, very thin, flat panel with an inexplicable rectangular lump on the bottom that pokes out about an inch so it can't even sit flat. Other similar solar pumps have always had some kind of mounting bracket that I could use to attach the panel to something to keep it fixed into position and out of the way. Now I'm not sure what to do with this, just leave it laying on the ground? That's not exactly attractive and is likely to get stepped on or damaged some other way. There's a ton of these little pumps on Amazon, unless you know you don't need to detach or extend the cable, and are fine with a solar panel that doesn't sit flat and has no way to attach it to anything, I'd look elsewhere.
