I was surprised by the quality of this Webcam right out of the box. All I did was hook it up and use a video conference tool to test it and even with a low end graphics card, it didn't have all that grainy focus issue. I like that it comes with the lens blocker. Not just because of what most are worried about, but because it keeps dust off it when not being used.The Tripod itself is okay to a point. The collapsing shaft is fairly solid but I can already tell by the design that if you need to collapse it down a lot as part of portable equipment, it will wear out fast. Then the legs themselves open and close easily enough, the mounts are very weak plastic. This is a high chance if it gets bumped off a table by a pet, a kid or whatever cause, they will break. This weakness proves it is not sturdy and wont take much to destroy it. So do your best to pet proof, kid proof and circumstance proof it being knocked down.Overall cost wise the camera more than makes up for the shortcomings of the tripod.

This webcam is a necessity if your computer does not have a built-in unit. It is a nice option for a laptop with its own camera. When I prepare for a webinar, I check whether I get better audio and video quality with my laptop or with the camera. Take your choice. It is convenient to use, height adjustable and has its own flip down lens cover. I like it and use it when appropriate. No complaints.

Very sturdy and makes steady videos.

I was surprised when I opened the package. It was small and compact. Would it stand up and stay steady? The answers are Yes and Yes.This tripod is a sturdy, one piece design with rubberized feet. In my initial usage, it is stable and quite versatile. I like the embedded telescoping arm design and the ability to adjust to three different camera heights. This could design could set the standard for affordable, one-piece tripod designs. I recommend to buy it and try it yourself.

Works as it should

The legs on this tripod will barely support a small webcam without collapsing to one side. I've already gotten rid of the packaging so I don't plan to return it, but I would suggest you look at other similar products.
