Q: I plugged it in but it won’t turn on. How long does it take to charge?

Thank you to the person who mentioned the power switch by where the food dispenses. That was a life saver. Spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to turn it on. We were about to return it thinking it was busted.

Q: If I have the machine unplugged and plug it in it Automatically releases food how do I stop this?

I think either use batteries or have it plugged inn

Q: Is it possible for a cat to get the food out by reaching inside?

In my experience, there are only a few kibbles that fall out immediately after a feeding. My guess is that the internal mechanism that dispenses the food doesn't quite push the last few kibbles to the opening, but it isn't something that the cat can do over and over.

Q: Does it charge when plugged in or is it strictly batteries and actively plugged in?

It needs to be plugged in to operate or utilize the batteries. It does not charge. The batteries are back up if the power goes out.
