The Nintendo 64 was the first console I was able to buy for myself with earnings from my first job, and of course Super Mario 64 was my first game, so I have a lot of nostalgic memories. This set pays such fantastic homage to the game, that it brings all those wonderful moments flooding back.Inside the very large block are Peach's castle, and dioramas of several levels (Bob-Omb Battlefield, Cool, Cool Mountain & Lethal Lava Land). Though recreated in very small scale, they're full of tiny details you'll remember. The addition of Bowser on a spinning platform that pops out the front is just the icing on the cake. And the cherry on top is that you can use the electronic Lego Mario to leap around the levels, resulting in many familiar sound effects. There are even "hidden" stars to collect.The only minor drawback - and it's probably just me - is that the bottom of the block isn't fully closed, which is a bit weird. But this really is a great set.
