Excellent product. Makes cleaning up soap scum almost fun.

Bought this to clean the ugly soap scum in my marble shower. My neighbor is a professional tile cleaner/restoration guy and he told me about this product. Did not want to risk using any cheap acid based soap scum remover and etching the marble. Worked excellent. Removed all the soap scum with just a minimal amount of scrubbing with a soft scrub pad. Shower looks just like new. After I got done with my marble shower I went and used it on my ceramic tile bathtub surround. Cleaned the tiles as well as the bathtub and removed all of the soap scum there also. Then I got on a roll and wanted to go and clean my third shower as well but ran out of product. Next time I will order 2 bottles.

Really works!

The dark brown travertine tiles on my shower floor developed an unsightly white soap film. Since most commercial shower cleaners cannot be used on natural stone, it was really built up. This product removed the film with minimal effort and now the stone looks like it did when it was first installed! I'm impressed. I also tried it on white travertine on the bathroom floor outside the shower, and the tiles were visibly brighter. I will try the MB floor cleaner for cleaning the floor and expect it to work just as well.

Highly corrosive

I bought MB's soap film remover based on the positive reviews here. I can't attest to whether or not it works well -- I've been too hesitant to use it. The directions on the bottle note that it's corrosive and causes severe skin burns and eye damage. Wear eye protection and gloves. Well, I wasn't intending to expose myself (and other surfaces in the kitchen) to highly corrosive chemicals in order to see if I could make my counters look a little better. I wish I had known before spending so much money what using this product would involve.

Arrived Quickly

The product is great; however the bottle leaked and the box was damaged.

Be VERY Careful using this product.....

I bought this product aware of all of the varied reviews - but seeking a solution for water spots on our dark brown, high gloss, granite. I read the instructions carefully and noticed that there was brief mention to not let the product dry on the granite. I was doing some deep cleaning after Thanksgiving and got side-tracked and it dried on. Much to my dismay, the product went under the gloss and created discoloration and a very uneven filmy look UNDER the seal (and did not touch the water spots on top) across the full length of the granite where I had placed the product (yes, I know, test a small area first - but I wanted to tackle the problem then and had limited time to do so). I tried several different passes, watching the clock closely after, to see if I could fix it - but to no avail.Thankfully, our neighbor who installs granite came by to check it out and suggested putting full strength bleach on top (BTW he also said "I've never seen any product do something like this....but you could see if this might work...."), covered by a bleach soaked paper towel and plastic wrap, and leave it there for 30 minutes at a time, to see if it would pull the product out. I was hesitant, but tried it, and - to my great relief, it worked! I had to do several passes in some areas - but each time more came out. After a lot of effort, we now are back to the original look of the granite - plus the same water spots. While I am aware that I did not "follow the directions" completely, I also highly encourage the company to put this recommendation in FULL BOLD and with stars and exclamation points. Had I have not had the benefit of my neighbors expertise, this could have been an extraordinarily expensive fix for trying to remove simple water spots. We have since chosen to live with the water spots and be thankful that our granite was not permanently damaged.

Saved my marble vanity.

About a year or two ago my son had dumped out an entire dispenser of soap onto our marble vanity. We didn't notice at initially, but over time the stone became dull and hazy. For the past two days I've been using this product and the stone looking better with each application.

Not a Miracle

First I would like to congratulate the bonehead who thought it would be a good idea to use a porous stone in a shower that will be damaged by traditional soap scum removers. It's a shower. It gets soapy. Next, I want to make it clear that our large, double shower had considerable scummy build-up. That's my fault: I do the cleaning, and if I were the hired help, I would fire myself. I have used a DuPont product in the past. It worked no better than this, and I had issues with the sprayer. The MB cleaner is diluted 1:1 in water. A quart does not go very far. I used the entire quart in one cleaning, using considerable elbow grease, scrubby pads, nylon brushes. I still had a white film all over everything that wouldn't rinse off. Like I said, we had major scum. It is probably fine for routine cleaning, but not the disaster I was working with. I googled stone + scum removal and came up with fabric softener. Yup, good old Downy. I used that (also diluted 1:1) and it seemed to cut through the most of the remaining film and apparently do no damage; plus, it smells a heck of a lot better.So--probably fine for routine cleaning, but not a miracle worker. Expect a workout if you let the problem get out of hand.
