Good hair product as always

A pretty good pomade for my two sons. Both style their hair very different from the other. I actually style their hair for them every single morning before school. I like using products that are easy, no fuss, and work well. One of our biggest issues is the flaking. By the time they get home...white flakes all over their head. This product interested me...wanted to see if it solved any issues.A very thick, sticky white product. I was skeptical. I get a glob and place on my palms. Rub my hands together to get it warm and malleable. That proved to be a little difficult. It's just so clumpy and sticky. Placing onto hair....still thick, still a bit of a process. I notice that the white stickiness seems to go away. Once worked into the hair it gives the hair texture in which to style. It works if you want to create style, volume, hold a certain look....doesn't work as great for a simple natural look unless you apply a small amount at a time. In that case I suggest dabbing some on finger tips and brushing fingers through the scalp/root area. For my oldest son...I work some onto his roots...and work down with his longer hair for wave. My youngest sons hair is shorter....with that I dab with my finger tips to get a textured look or brush back for a smooth simple look. I discover no flaking which is the biggest plus. The hold last until they get home from school. That's about 8 hours. The scent is pleasant for them. It's a mild cologne smell. Reminds me of the smells you get when visiting a barber shop.

The media could not be loaded. I am a professional hairdresser and I really love this product line for men. I used their other product, base builder, before applying this pomade. I was very impressed by this product. It spread very easily through the hair after using the heat from my hands to melt it. It gave a nice soft matte texture and my son LOVED the scent… he kept telling me to make sure I wrote how good it smells in my review lol. I highly recommend this product line!

This pomade is carefully enshrined within several layers of packaging; it looks expensive (and I see that it is!) Using the product to style my dry hair, I was unable to achieve results that matched those from any of the photos. The pomade itself is creamy and white, about the texture of hand lotion, and when applied to my hair by hand left huge clumpy white stripes that actually looked as if I had run hand lotion through my hair. Worked in until the white was gone, I still had wet-looking clumps where it had been. They dried to the touch but my hair looked sticky and wet, as if I had used gel, all day.

I got this Mane Tame Deluxe Pomade for my son, who recently got a haircut that needs careful styling. He's been using it every day, and it works! His hair has bangs and a front portion that need height and volume, and he's using this pomade to style his hair. He finds it easy to use.His style looks extremely natural, but well-controlled. There's nothing to indicate that he uses product in his hair; it's got a good, but gentle hold. Highly recommended.

I was disappointed because this was my favorite hair product and it disappeared for a while. I thought it was discontinued. It looks like it's finally back, but for the better? I'm not sure.They seemed to use the time of its absence to re-brand. The container looks a lot nicer and has been replaced from a cheap plastic with a classier metal container. However, if I remember correctly, it now comes with less product (it's deceptively taller to make it seem like its bigger, but its only 3.3 oz) and the price is now about 30% more expensive.The product itself also seems to be different. I still like the hold compared to other products, but it seems a lot shiner now, almost greasy. Overall, not impressed with the re-brand so far, and I miss the old product, however, it is still quality and my negatives are just based on what it used to be.

This pomade has the most amazing smell for a man. I cannot wait for my husband to use this because it smells so good. It feels really nice in my hair, and I love that it's water based. It makes it easy to wash it out. I'd definitely recommend this as a men's pomade.

This is a good sized jar, about twice the size that you'd expect when buying pomade. Performance wise, it is great. BUT... it has a strong musk smell that I couldn't wait to wash out of my hair. Some reviewers say they love the smell, so it all depends on personal preference. I don't mind the spa-botanical scents (like tea tree), but I can't stand musky cologne scents... so that's a dealbreaker for me.
