The large display is readable even in dim light. It took 2-3 seconds for the temperature reading to stabilize, which is adequate but means that one's oven door may be open a bit longer than an "instant-read" thermometer would require. This is not a problem for me.

I've tried cheaper thermometers, but this one is a real quality item. The build quality is solid. It turns on automatically when you rotate open the probe, you can stick it on metal because it has a magnetic side, it has a back light which makes it easy to read, its battery lasts a long time, and it's apparently waterproof. That seems to be a lot for my money. My cheap thermometer broke, and I tried gluing it back together. This one seems so sturdy I doubt it will break. Wish I'd just bought it first.

Really good tool. Takes the guesswork out of the cooking. I like to grill and this tool allows me to get it right, done but not too done. Good value for the money.

I originally picked up the ThermoPro TP605 for monitoring aquarium water during changes, and it’s been incredibly useful. It comes with a battery too! While it’s marketed for cooking, its quick and accurate temperature readings make it perfect for other precision tasks, too.The waterproof design gives me peace of mind when working around water, and I love the foldable probe — it makes storage much safer and neater. The backlight is a nice touch when checking temps in lower light.One thing to note: the built-in magnet is convenient, but it’s fairly small, so it may not hold strongly to all surfaces. Still, the compact design and speed more than make up for it.Whether you're grilling, meal prepping, or using it for less traditional purposes like aquariums or candle making, this is a super handy tool to have around.

Easy to use, large numbers makes easy to read, it's accurate stuck into boiling water and it read 212 within seconds. What nice it uses normal AAA batteries. Probe is a nice length so easy to use in counter top ovens. The design is sleek but large enough to handle if you are wearing potholder gloves. Works well in any position, and has durable easy clean design

I had a folding one with a magnet years ago and then it broke. Couldn't find another one with a magnet until this one. I like that I can keep on the side of the refrigerator for quick use. Good, bright display and it seems accurate and reads temp quickly! Love it!

That's is an excellent tool for use in a high volume commercial kitchen. A little heavier than the older version because this one uses a AAA battery, versus a the coin battery.

Bought for grilling. This thing is outstanding!
