Great product, Christmas stocking stuffers for sure!
Growing up we had real gas cans with the straight hose, no leaks no stupid valves to squeeze, just a hose. Now with all these new cans they are heavy, Leak everywhere, the seals go bad and the valves break. This little tool is fantastic to say the least. I used it on my boat fuel tank for when I need to add fuel. Literally zero effort. Drains a 5 gallon can in about 4 minutes id say. Slower than pouring but not having to put in the work, it's a 5 out of 5 for me!

saves my shoulders and back from having to hold larger gas cans
this thing worked like a champ when I siphoned 5 gallons of gas from the gas can into my truck. took just a couple of minutes. best is that I didnt have to hold it upside down while depressing the spout's valve...very awkward position like with my current gas can...just insert the siphon into the gas can, secure the output side to the gas tank tube, press the power button. I bought this mainly to use out on the water to fill up my boat's tank so that there wouldnt be any spills into the water. this thing will do just that.***EDIT after 2nd use***I tried to siphon gas again from my gas can to my car and this time it wouldnt even turn on. I swapped out batteries and still no go. Put old batteries into my flashlight and they light up bright so it is not the battery. And the return window just closed a few days ago. Glad this happened before I went out deep sea and run out of gas and not be able to siphon gas out of the gas can into the boat's gas tank. NOT happy with this purchase whatsoever.

Very handy battery operated (D & AA cells) pump - Definitely a MUST HAVE for your Home & Car
I needed a battery-operated mobile pump for 2 reasons:1. I recently had an emergency as the garbage disposal unit in the kitchen suddenly stopped working and manually scooping out the dirty kitchen water into a bucket was inefficient2. I needed a pump to move the fuel from the 5-gallon container into the car.Constantly lifting and holding 5 gallons of anything, is heavy and tiring.I searched among several models of this product design here, but I settled on this one as it has a plastic nozzle & clip which will help while pumping fuel into the car or other containers. While testing it, I was pleasantly surprised that it can even work by using just 2AA batteries (one in each of the adapters that comes with it) instead of 2 D sized batteries. While testing it, I partially filled up a gallon container with water and put it in the kitchen sink, and started the pump. I wanted to see how high it can push the water, and I held the hose up to the highest length up and it was still pumping water up to that height. So that means that I can put the 5-gallon container with the pump on the ground, and it can still pump the fuel up to the height of the fuel intake of the car!** CAUTION **The hose on this is very fragile and looks like it can break very easily. So be careful not to kink or twist it.Overall, this is a MUST-HAVE for all CARS & HOMES!Just be careful with the hose as it seems very delicate and fragile.I would have given this 5 stars, but I take back 1 star because the hose seems too fragile.*** URGENT UPDATE ***Since most of these handheld battery-powered pumps work by a screw impeller design, the base of this pump is a bit wider and DOES NOT fit into the mouth of my 5-gallon portable gas tank.So I may be up getting another one that has a thinner base at the bottom so that I can insert it into the gasoline container.

May be unsafe to transfer gasoline or diesel
The Good.1) Compact and light2) Uses easily sourced, long lasting size D batteries or AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable) with included adapter3) InexpensiveThe Bad.1) Flimsy tubing requires keen attention and careful manipulation to ensure tube opening stays in place during liquid transfer2) There is no anti-reflux valve which means residual liquid will remain in the tubing after the source tank empties. To avoid the fluid in the tubing from draining back into the source tank, you have to move the tubing above the destination tank while simultaneously shutting off the motor to ensure the fluid flows into the source tank. Tricky and annoying but after a few attempts, you’ll figure it out.The ugly1) No spark arrester.2) Tubing lacks static charge proofing3) No auto shut off for pump motor when source tank empties. I shudder to think what horror would result if the motor overheats, shorts, or static charge releases in the tubing while transferring flammable fluids such as gasoline.Bottom lineIf you are looking for an electric pump to transfer gasoline or diesel against gravity (ie, source tank is below destination tank), there are other options from established companies designed specifically for this purpose. The other fuel pump options are more expensive, partly because they incorporate necessary safety features. I think this pump is best for light duty transferring of non-flammable fluids such as draining an aquarium. I seriously question whether this pump is safe to transfer flammable fluids such as gasoline or diesel as advertised.
