These shorts are awesome and feel great on. Lightweight material and a big back pocket for a phone and a key fobe. Lots of stretch. The pictures were taken about 5 miles in on a trail run. Feels great and staying together. Definitely buying another pair.

Normally get a large in everything but this brand must be different. A large in this is way too big so I won't be able to use these in competition. Guess they'll just be a backup pair. Looks like they'd be great otherwise though.

My husband and I love our Mudgear socks so when the MudGear Men Comprace Shorts popped up, we decided to check them out and hoped for the same quality we've grown to expect from the USA-made socks. The shorts are indeed well made, but made in Vietnam.The shorts are true to size, and have a bit of stretch, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. One, the shorts are a compression garment so should fit you well. And two, if the fabric is stretched, it will be a bit see-through.The shorts feature a drawstring at the waist, elastic at the knee to keep the shorts from riding up, and a zippered pocket in the back, just below the waist. Some might find the zippered pocket in the back to be useful, but my husband doesn't like it.As I mentioned, the garment is well made. The stitches are even, and there are no loose threads.The fabric is a bit thin with no added layers in strategic areas, and my husband said he won't wear the shorts outside the home without another layer on top of them.The fabric is 75% nylon and 25% spandex. Laundry instructions are, MACHINE WASH COLD, DO NOT BLEACH, DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER. TUMBLE DRY LOW, DO NOT IRON. The shorts also air-dry quickly.Overall, the shorts are nice, well made, and offer a nice and comfortable compression with 4-way stretch. They are great for workouts, my husband likes them for indoor workouts, but we both feel they are a bit costly.

I have only worn them twice - will see how durable they are once they have been washed a few dozen times.

Not sure what to think about these. The fit is strange. I wear a size small. I am a runner and cyclist. I've done my share of 5k and 10k races. The waist on these is way too high. They come over my belly button. The material is nice and soft, but I'm not sure if you are supposed to wear these alone or with another layer. There is no additional panel in front and the material is quite thin so you will show quite a bit without a second layer. They are not the most comfortable because the waist is so high. I feel like I'm wearing grandpa pants. Not what I was expecting. For a mud course I'm not sure these are durable enough to make it.

These are a great pair of workout shorts. These are definitely "shorts" and not "underwear" so you can feel confident wearing them to the gym without feeling like you have to wear another pair of loose shorts over top of them. The material is thick enough to provide real compression and you'll feel the benefits.I especially like the rubber grip bands on the inside bottom of the leg. They really help to keep the shorts in place without riding up or sliding down during your most intense activity.The zippered pocket in the back is small, but it would be a good place to stash your ID, a credit card or some cash if you're doing a long run outdoors in case of emergency.

These Mudgear shorts are made in Vietnam. The shorts are made with 75% nylon and 25% spandex fabric that is very stretchy. I liked how the shorts looked out of the bag, these shorts have a drawstring and the grips at the leg openings. I ordered a large according to the size chart (being a size 36 to 38 in swimwear). The material feels durable and seems well made. The shorts were baggy when I tried them on, more than just loose. I was hoping for a good pair of compression shorts, and these are not that, unless you size down one or two. I hope this helps those wanting that firm compression grip on their thighs (size down), otherwise try the size chart.3 stars
