Does its job, good product

I have been shaving my head with clippers for about 15 years. I started using cheaper "Home" clippers and I strongly advise that people avoid them as the motors/batteries are too weak so they slow down when cutting and pull at your hair. Also whilst they are fine for a mother cutting her kids hair a few times a year they don't tend to last very long when used at least once a week. In short they are a false economy so don't be tempted by the lower price and cordless capability.I upgraded from those to the Wahl Professional Super Taper clippers (white back) which are absolutely superb due to being designed to survive daily use with junky blades and a strong mains powered motor.These Balding clippers appear to be pretty much identical to the Super Tapers aside from blades. You get what appears to be the same case and the motor sounds similar and is powerful enough to glide through the thickest hair without pulling at the roots.Addressing some of the issues raised in previous reviews - I haven't noticed that it is any louder or prone to vibration than the Super Tapers. It could be those reviewers had a faulty product or were not familiar with the extra power you get from the industrial mains motor versus the cheaper "home" clippers.I also had no issues with razor burn. It was every bit as comfortable as the Super Tapers.In terms of results I believe this is as short as you will ever get your hair with a set of clippers. The only way to get closer is to use an electric foil shaver or a razor blade. It cuts noticeably shorter than the Super Tapers do on their closest setting. It isn't as close as a foil face shaver but it is a lot quicker. I'd say the results are closer to a foil face shaver than they are to the Super Tapers. Perhaps the same as a foil face shaver + 12 hours growth depending on how fast your hair grows.If you are someone that is half bald and trying to hide it then you might want to stick to a foil shaver/razors especially if you have dark hair like me as you will still have a "5 o clock shadow" after shaving with these. That being said, if you want to use a foil face shaver then using these balding clippers first would really speed up that job.For those that just want the fastest and closest cut possible from a pair of clippers these are the ultimate.

I have had these for over a week and I have just been too scared to use them.I unboxed them when they were delivered, switched them on and the motor fired up and the Clippers were buzzing and I was not sure that I was proficient enough to actually use them on my own.So today I went on YouTube and watched some videos about blade alignment as I had read some reviews on here about faces being cut and shaving rashes and so on. I could not find a video about adjusting this particular set of Clippers and was just tempted to put them back in the box, however, curiosity got the better of me so I decided to try them out.Well, all I can say is these are amazingly easy to use and made a superb job of clipping my head, so good that it looks like I have just had a wet shave the day before, brilliant!So not content with my head looking wonderfully smooth and not a nick, cut or rash to be seen I then attacked my face and neck and these did a brilliant job, I absolutely love these Clippers and cannot recommend them enough.I have no idea why I was so worried about using them but I am actually so pleased that I did.If I could rate these higher than 5 stars I would indeed give them 10 as I cannot fault these or be negative about a single aspect of them. The build quality, usability and results are OUTSTANDING!!!!

Zero gapped but only in one side, can clearly see the blade have been cut on a curve

I gave this 4 stars cos there's no case or nothing with it. You don't want dust getting in these things so they need to be covered and you get nothing.The quality is good and you get a good close cut. If you want closer than this you need a razor and soap.It's easy on the skin for such a close cut. People say it's heavy, but that shows the quality. What do they want, light plastic feel.This feels good and does the job well.You get a good long cable.This is as good as you,l get for the money.

The media could not be loaded. I don't usually leave reviews for things but in this case I decided to make an exception.This shaver is brilliant. It will definitely save me a lot of time, the motor sounds really powerful and it's easily the best shave I've ever had at home. Not sure about some of the reviews that say they had skin issue with it. Its possible they may be pressing too hard or using it at the wrong angle, but I've had a good few trimmers, shavers etc including a couple of Wahls in the past and this one is the best so far.I'd agree with some other people that if you wanted to get any closer a shave you would have to use a razor.The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars was because the item had been used. I got a funny feeling as I opened the packaging so I decided to check. I could see tiny black hairs on the outside of the blade and after unscrewing the two screws to get the large blade off, lo and behold there was more hair of a different colour in between the two blades. So although someone had tried to clean it it was clear that it had been sent back probably more than once. Still the best cut I've ever had though.I ordered mine from Sahara beauty so be careful if you order from them it may be one that has been returned the blade seemed very sharp and very easy to adjust although you do have to be careful. It came oiled and ready to use. Very pleased apart from the fact that it had been returned but I figured that if I went to any barber they would be using equipment that had been used on lots of people's heads anyway so what difference does it really make so I decided to keep them rather than sending them back.Definitely a good buy.
