Chef Aid Vegetable Brush

Really good
I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be writing a glowing review on a veg brush but here I am - this brush is that good! Much better than I expected. Bristles are super sturdy and scrapped all the dirt off my carrots and sweet potatos with no problems. The brush was also easily washed clean after. I can see this brush lasting a very long time.

Brilliant! Has really stiff bristles so veg can be cleaned properly. Originally bought OXO veg brush which is far too soft & cost a fortune. This was a third of the price - recommended.UPDATE: 07/21 … just bought a replacement (they don’t last forever). Bristles break due to becoming brittle & are very sharp.Put the old in recycling bin.

very very misleading
the picture shows a dustpan and brush but in fact what you get is a vegetable brush. Just shows you really must read the wording and well as looking at the picture. How the seller justifies showing this picture beats me! They certainly lead you up the garden path.

Not bad but only short life
Well made brushes (I bought two) and easy to hold while scrubbing. But the little gouger bit (to take out potato eyes, etc.) is not small or sharp enough, and both brushes soon became unusable because it's impossible to clean the brush parts properly: both quickly went a rusty brown in the area where the bristles emerge from the plastic handle, despite always being thoroughly cleaned immediately after use and being soaked in detergent and bleach. I therefore didn't get much life out of them because they seemed unhygienic to use and chucked them.

Vegetable brush
This is the second vegetable brush of this kind I have bought (my husband used the old one for scrubbing paint!). The brush is easy to hold and does the job perfectly. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is that on its first use all the bristles from one section came out. The others seem OK and it is still usable but a little disappointed because my first brush was great.

Efficient, easy to hold vegetable brush.
I've used this vegetable brush on potatoes and carrots - makes quick work of scrubbing these. I think this would be fine for small, medium or large hands - comfortable use in my medium sized hands. The brush doesn't seem to need a lot of cleaning after use. Recommended.

Too harsh for purpose.
The bristles are too stiff for this to be a veg brush--really, it's more of a kitchen scrubbing brush. It takes the skin off the carrots and potatoes and even beetroot, which makes me think it'd be best suited for things like hard-skinned squashes and pumpkins (but who really wants a separate 'squash brush'). Most of the nutritional value in tubers and roots is in the skin, so scouring this off alongside the dirt isn't beneficial. That being said if you like your spuds to have barely any skin, you may find this a boon.

Good Veg Brush
Fits most hands and makes scrubbing veg fairly easy. Has a pointed end to take out bits you don't like the look of. The bristles are fairly firm and do a good job. My only criticism is that I find it a bit awkward to hold whilst using the gouger. The bristles are uncomfortable. Good item though.
