I must say that I expected also songs. There weren't but the soundtrack is wonderful and really useful for the story. Shahrukh Khan is doing his best and really is far away from mannerism: he is not doing "Shahrukh playing a fool".. Here we have an actor. And then the plot shows how terrible can be showbiz when you're no more nice or as people want you to be. I've seen Fan just few days after Dilwale and I don't understand why the movie didn't go as well as Dilwale. Good! Real! Perfectly acted.

An arrogant star. A devoted fan. Both equally obstinate. The scene is set. A dark theme.A bittersweet reflective ending.Just who really emerged as the winner?Are the fans "devoted"? Or unhealthy "obsessed"? Wanting to live vicariously through others?Who wields power? The "star" who is nothing without his fan base? One wrong step, and bye bye reputation. Or the fan? Faceless, obsequious, taken for granted, fleeced to enrich the star?Everything in life has a price. The currency isn't always money. And the ending reflects that.

I loved this film in the cinema and waited a long time to get this Blu-Ray it does not disappoint. A great tale very well told by a really charismatic actor in many good set action pieces. Every performance sincere and well delivered.

Shah Rukh at his best. I haven't watched a Bollywood movie for a while and I wasn't disappointed. Excellent and original storyline. Highly recommended to any fan. Dvd arrived quickly. New and sealed. Excellent service from amazon.

This is a film about a young man who is obsessed with a celebrity and decides he wants to meet him. Shah Rukh Khan interestingly plays both fan and celebrity. In my top 15 SRK movies. Worth watching.

Better than expected considering the story line. The action was pretty good and the emotional scenes tugged at the old heart. Ended up in tears and not even a chick flick......

The worst movie I have ever seen in my life. I really wanted to like this movie but I couldn't continue watching it after the interval. It was illogical, contrived, nothing made sense....just horrible. Shame on you SRK. The idea was great and that is why the disappointment is so extreme. There are so many mistakes in the script in the first part of the movie that it would take me days to write all of them. And the worst part of it is that it all could have been easily avoided if SRK and his staff got their heads out of the 90's. Stop thinking that the Indian public is so stupid. Find better script writers and stop thinking that your 'presence' on screen is enough.

Vor ein paar Tagen sah ich eine Aufzeichnung (2019) von Lettermans Show "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" mit Shah Rukh Khan als Gast. Bis dato kannte ich den Film "Fan" nicht, wusste nicht, um was es da gehen wird. Aber in Lettermans Show sah ich die Menschenmassen, die Khan verehren und vor seinem Haus warten und allein diese Bilder machten mir Angst und ich dachte 'Was wäre, wenn... wenn einer in diesen Massen so besessen ist, das er gefährlich wird. Erst dann las ich die Inhaltsangaben des Films "Fan" und musste ihn sehen.Das Leben des Megastars Aryan Kharna nimmt eine sehr beängstigte Richtung als er einem Fan sagte "Es ist mein Leben, warum sollte ich dir 5 Sekunden schenken". Der Satz allein und ohne Kontext ließt sich arrogant und eingebildet... So verstand ihn sein junger Fan Gauvat Chandna. Der junge Mann, der Aryan fanatisch verehrte verstand die Botschaft falsch... Gauvat selbst nennt sich Aryan Junior und ist in seinem Viertel als der beste Aryan-Imitator bekannt, gewinnt jeden Wettbewerb, der da stattfand. Mit dem Preisgeld und dem Pokal reiste er nach Mumbai um Aryan Kharna zu besuchen. Nicht dass er eingeladen wurde, nein, er war so besessen von diesem Megastar, dass er glaubte, dieser würde ihn unter 10000 Fans vor seinem Haus sehen, die Ähnlichkeit erkennen und ihn zu sich bitten... Jeder weiß, es ist unmöglich, nur Gauvat glaubte fest daran.Als ein Schauspielkollege Aryan öffentliche beschuldigte, ihn geschlagen zu haben, suchte Gauvat diesen auf, schlug ihn und erzwang eine öffentliche Entschuldigung gegenüber Aryan. In der Presse sah es aus, wie eine ehrlich gemeinte Entschuldigung aber Aryan fand heraus, wie es dazu kam... und ohne zu spoilern, beginnt schon bald das Drama mit dem Satz "Es ist mein Leben, warum sollte ich dir 5 Sekunden schenken"....Dieser Film wirkte anfangs nicht, wie ein extrem guter Film aber er ist es. Denn genau die Gedanken, die ich bei der Letterman-Show hatte... die spiegelt der Film wieder.... Er ist sehenswert, der junge Gauvat ist gerissen, schmiedet einen genialen Plan, Aryan Kharna, einst sein Idol, mit Hass im tiefen Herzen zu zerstören... immerwieder denkt man zwischendurch.... "Wie will Aryan aus dieser Nummer rauskommen?"...Eindeutige Kaufempfehlung!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best movie I have seen for a long time. SRK should be granted an Oscar for this performance.

I pre-ordered this movie and it reached to me after one day of its release.The DVD cover I got is Special Edition which has two discs-one has movie (with optional subtitles of 3-4 languages) and second disc has the making of movie and Jabra Fan Song,threatical trailer and promos,Jabra Fan video song of all languages and much more...Coming to movie,I am not a critic but this movie is totally classic and you should check IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes ratings.Go for it!!
