I like that the set has both thinners and chunkers. I am learning to groom my doodle at home and wanted to try these to give him a neater look. These scissors are not the sharpest but a good place to start before investing in the more expensive professional scissors. The thinners worked well on my own hair but not sure they will make it through my dog’s thick coat. The chunkers are nice. They seem to pull on the hair but this may be my poor technique. The straight scissors are acceptable and cut well at the end but I was hoping for a sharper set of scissors.The finger holes are too small for the thumb so they are not the most comfortable to hold. You can remove the inserts which will make the holes slightly bigger which I will have to do.The presentation is lovely with beautiful looking scissors and case. May be good for a gift for someone grooming their dog at home.

Great set of scissors to groom my husky mix at home. I tried to include good before & after photos of the hairs I trimmed around his ears and face, then his wild butt and tail hairs. I used primarily the thinning and curved shears and the included comb, fantastic set.

I’m a professional groomer, I bought these as a backup set to get my other shears sharpened. They came sharp, lubricated, and with a key to adjust tension. If you know anything about shears, you know that one drop off of the table can be the end of a good pair of shears. I have dropped each pair of this set off of my table NUMEROUS times and they still cut beautifully.
