Had a problem with Dell laptops, the USB-C 'power' connector was vulnerable to walk-by damage.These cute little right-angle devices were the perfect solution.They give me a plug toward the BACK of the laptop, or the TOP of the laptop,both out of danger of damage from walk-by.Note they advertise "high-power" and "40 gigabit/sec" throughput,which is perfect for a laptop power cable.The laptop hasn't complained about "slow charging",and the devices themselves don't "warm up", bothconcerns I might have had.

Have you ever connected a USB-C cable to your phone or tablet and then had it bend at the point of connection to the point where it puts excessive wear on the connector or it stops charging? This little adapter solves that nuisance perfectly. When installed, it routes the cable 90 degrees away from the port on the device and runs it parallel to the device. This makes holding the device easier, it relieves strain on the cable connection, and just gets out of the way. I'm using mine on the charging cable for my iPad Air, and it makes me wonder why I didn't do this sooner. It's literally a no-brainer at a very affordable price. Highly recommended. 5 Stars.

Use for a laptop mounted on wall to avoid cable stress and it works great. Clean look with no downside.

This probably works fine...if the connector on your mating device is absolutely flush with the surface! If the mating connector is recessed even slightly, this adapter will not fully mate. I bought this specifically to not have my cable sticking directly backward which causes my device to almost fall over the front ledge. I only have about 1/2" of space and the cable constantly pushes things forward. A right angle connector would prevent this. Unfortunately, this one will not work because the male end is too short. Maybe I can find another that will work...other than this brand.
