Perfectly balanced and very sharp
I have owned a set of Zwillings knives for over 20 years and sadly lost the paring knife so this was a replacement. Zwillings knives are excellent quality and last for decades if you wash them by hand, not in a dishwasher, and regularly sharpen using a steel.

Great quality knife from Germany
If you are paying this kind of price for a small knife it had better be good! And it is. We have 4 other four-star knives of varying sizes form Zwilling and they are beautifully made, comfortable to hold, very sharp, and dishwasher proof.

Fine quality, rather expensive
Bought this and the Mercer equivalent at the same time. By comparison, this is lighter, the handle is thinner, and the balance is more weighted to the blade. Its sharp and looks well made - its a comparable style to the chef knife in the same series. I like the feel better than the Mercer, which is heavier, and probably has a full substantial tang making it balance more to the handle. The handle is smoother than the Mercer, but still gives a good grip. I prefer it being slimmer, but this is a matter of taste and perhaps size of hand.Should you buy it? It depends on the finances. I like it better than the Mercer but either will be perfectly good for the purpose and probably whichever you get, you'll adapt to it in a few days. This was on offer, and even then its twice the price of the Mercer. Its not twice as good a knife, and at full price it will be three times the price of the Mercer, and its definitely not worth that, as a knife. If you know you will like it better in use, and you're willing to pay the extra for it, then get it. But if you are counting the pennies, get the Mercer.I should say that either one will probably last a lifetime. So you could argue the additional cost over the years you will use it is not all that substantial.

Lost my small knife which was part of my Zwilling knife block. Replaced at an amazing price. Couldn't be without it.
