Q: Can installation be reversed, to supply exterior air to the interior, instead of exhaust interior air?

It will only work if exterior side its not exposed to the elements.

Q: Is there a way to attach a screen to keep insects from coming in?

It would have to be on the inside so as to not block louvers

I cut a piece of foam pad insulation 2” thick to fit into the opening over the back of the motor, works great to keep out the weather and insects
