Motion sensor

Will not work with an LED bulb.
The picture says it all. This photocell will not control an LED bulb as stated in the product description. It simply stays on all the time, which is what any pre-led photocell would do.Not saying it won't control a traditional HPS or mercury vapor bulb, just that it will not work with an LED.

Good replacement
I live in the Northwest and the moisture takes its toll on anything unprotected outdoors. After a few years these photo cells cloud over and the darkness from the now opaque cover keeps the switch 'ON' making the outside Mercury Vapor flood light stay on 24/7.I ordered this as a replacement and after inserting it things are back to normal. I think this one will last as long as any of the others I have had over the years. The price was reasonable and delivered to my door without running around burning $4.00+ a gallon gasoline plus my time.

Lasted less than 3 months
This worked great for the first 2 months or so, but after less than 3 months it quit working. I tried cleaning off the outside of the unit, hoping that woud help,b ut it was not very dirty at all to begin with, and after cleaning it still does not function, so the light stays on all day again, which costs a fortune in electricity for a large halogen bulb.

Saved my back yard light.
After three years of no yard light this little baby solved the problem. Easy to change and working daily for an entire summer now I wish I would have changed it out a long time ago. Its amazing what you can learn on the internet. And to think I was going to trash the whole light fixture. But I didn't and this photo cell saved the day. I would highly recommend this item.

Ready perfect fit

The sensor worked
This was a sensor for a mercury vapor yard light.Arrived a day earlier than expected.Works great.

i purchased two one still works and one quit after two months
Control quit working shortly after purchase, the big thing is i had to rent a lift again again to go up the 40 foot pole to change it. Problem began two weeks ago it started to work intermittently, now not at all. I put in a claim but the company did not respond so i purchased another one from a different company. Amazon does not take these back
