Zinc Batteries?
Imagine my surprise finding out that zinc batteries were better for my wall clock. I never heard of zinc batteries before, although I did purchase them as they were recommended. I have not owned them long enough to comment on whether they have longevity or are a good value. The problem with my old clock was that it fell off the wall, so not sure the old Duracells wouldn't have done the job. On the surface these four AA batteries were expensive, but if they last a long time, well, all is well!

I brought these AA carbon zinc batteries for a wall clock I brought online that specifically stated to only use these batteries. I brought them from Amazon but felt they're a bit pricey even though they do the trick. I eventually discovered them in Dollar General for less.

I only wish that I was told to get these batteries for my clock purchase at the time of my clock purchase so I didnt have to send in a separate order for them

Batteries for my wall clock
Bought these back in May or June when I bought my frameless wall clock basically cuz it said to use these batteries for the clock & so far it’s been working great , have not had to change batteries yet.

Good batteries, the seller is nuts
Carbon batteries have lower amp output than alkaline,which makes small motors like clocks last longer. The joke here is the supplier ships from the UK for practically nothing- I mean total cost cheaper than buying alkalines at the hardware store. How does that work I don't know. The supplier for the Sony brands hit us for shipping surcharge that made the cost 5x as much. So as long as they are shipping for nearly nothing, buy these, if you really need them.
