The clamp holds tightly, and the 3 adjustable arms means either a few plants can get a lot of evenly spaced light, or more plants can get an overhead boost. I've used it successfully both ways, and my early plantings are growing strong and sturdy, I've never experienced this with my early chili and tomato seedlings before! I have the plants on a South having window during the day, then boost them with 6 hours more of light in the evening. The timer function is easy to use and understand, also.

The product itself works amazingly. You can see your plants grow right before your eyes! But I was very disappointed and sad to come home today and hear a buzzing and sparking sound from my adapter, and upon disconnecting the plant light USB I came to find it completely charred and stuck inside of it. I'm really glad that I got home early. Maybe I was just really unlucky and had a defected cable. I recommend checking your adapters if you buy this product and monitoring the heat.

These are excellent for the amateur gardener. I filled my propagator with seed trays filled with various seeds. Tomatoes, annual flowers and perennials. Also some pelargonium cuttings. Arranged the lights just above the trays and rested the lid on top. I was delighted with the result. The percentage germination was amazing. Seedlings remained short and stocky instead of thin and spindly. Now ready for potting up. But what will I do with nearly 200 Antirrinum. Did find the timer difficult to figure out so left lights on all the time. Appear not to be using much electricity. Instructions could be more helpful.
