Green Giant Cream Style Sweet Corn, 14.75 Ounce Can

I always keep can vegetable or food at work for emergency back up when I don't have time to go out and grab food. You can eat it straight out of the can and it is sweet of course and creamy. But I like pop the can with lid off inside my air fryer for 5 min at 400 and then do a quick stir and another 2-3 min and add some butter to let ut melt.Sometime mix it into my miso soup or chunky Campell soup. Can't go wrong on however you want to eat this.

I never paid much attention to brand names of canned corn, just bought whatever. One day I was making a shepherd's pie that needed two cans of cream style corn. I happened to have one Green Giant and one Del Monte. Oh my, the difference in appearance was amazing. The Green Giant was lighter, and you could see the bits of corn. The DelMonte looked like mush and was brown-ish. The Green Giant had better corn flavor.

The 2 cans I received yesterday were packed in a box of appropriate size for this shipment, however both cans were so dented that they looked like they were bending at their waists. The box itself was not damaged, so both cans were already in this bent condition when they were placed into the box for shipment. That said, the seal was fine on both cans, and while it was a little difficult running the can opener around the entire lid, I managed to get the lids off and used both cans for soup tonight. There was nothing wrong with the contents.

My 3 sons loved cream corn as little boys.....30+ years later I surprise them and serve it as a side at times when they drop in for a visit and homecooked meal. They still enjoy it. Must keep a supply on hand!!! It is tasty with a few pats of butter melted in like I served it to them years ago!

My wife was so happy when I surprised her with these, as it has very low salt, and it was well priced, and the volume of the can was better than store bought
