Best coffee in the world.

But coffee I've had. Aroma is amazing. Much cheaper and better than Starbucks. I buy the beans and grind.

This is very good coffee that I plan to buy again.

I was very pleased with this coffee. I don't have a regular brand but was given some Kenyan coffee as a gift which was excellent so thought I'd try this one. This coffee has a very smooth, rich flavor and does not give me an acid stomach which has been a problem with other coffees I've tried recently. I've been using about a tablespoon and a half of ground coffee per cup. Since writing this I have tried the Sumatra. I prefer the Sumatra to the Kenya. It has a bit richer flavor while being very smooth. I have an order in now for the Columbian. Oddly, Amazon groups all the reviews for all of the varieties together. So far, having tried two varieties I’m trying a third because the first two were very good, better than anything from the grocery store, and at a very reasonable price. I’m far from a coffee aficionado but I do grind beans and believe this gives me a better cup and feel that all the varieties of this brand that I’ve tried provide me with a better brew than I’ve found elsewhere. I think I’ve tried all the varieties offered by this seller and this is the Columbian is the only one I continue to buy.

Decent smooth Kenyan coffee.

I got bit by the coffee bug when I travelled to Africa. Having whole bean Kenyan coffee for the first time was the experience that brought me into the world of coffee. Since then I try to find the finest African coffees I can, Ethiopian great but I always like to have some Kenyan as well. This Kenyan coffee is decent, smooth, and inoffensive if a bit bland. My only complaint is that it lacks flavor, it's obviously good coffee and smooth, but a bit to subtle if you ask me. Kenyan should have some fruitiness and strength in it, and this is just sort of middle of the road.

Worth a try

Great coffee. I use a Turkish coffee maker and these beans are great.

Very Coarse Grind

The flavor is acceptable but not exceptional. Seems it would improve and be easier to judge if it weren’t for the coarse grind (coarser than commercial brands e.g., Folgers). Perhaps something closer to a Melita fine grind would help bring out the flavor from what should be a high-end bean?

Low Acid Naturally

I researched low acid coffee and found that beans grown in Brazil have less acid. On top of that this brand is delicious.

Worst Coffee Ever. Threw it out after one cup!

I have loved Kenya AA coffee for years and was what I bought from Starbucks before they stopped selling it. This coffee is very far from fresh. When the bag was opened there was not even any coffee bean aroma. We brewed it in a machine that grinds the beans. The brewed coffee causes the mouth to pucker as if alum was added. My mouth continued to stay that way long after drinking my first cup. I decided to try a second cup just to make sure that the coffee was undrinkable. It was and I will throw out the1-pound bag that I purchased. It is hard to believe that such atrocious coffee would be supplied to people that like coffee well enough to spend the extra money for a great cup! This company will not likely stay in business. This coffee is also shown as "Amazon's Choice" which makes me lose all confidence in that labeling. By the way, this is the only review I have ever written of a product bought on Amazon!

Quality at a reasonable price

I have lived on a coffee farm in Kenya for many years. I know how highland Arabica coffee is cultivated and processed. Very labor intensive. There are two main types of coffee: Araibica and Robusta. Arabica growes best a high altitude. The farm that I was on was 8,000 feet above sea level. Robusta can be growed at low altitudes. Arabica trees are noy tall and require pruning and mulching. Harvest at prime condition by hand. Robusta trees grow tall and not pruned much. Labor requirements are minimal, just pick up the berries. Arabica coffee is mild compared to Robusta which is often used in instant coffee. Coffee originated in Ethiopia and when you go to a rural home in Ethiopia coffee will be roasted, ground, brewed and served to you as you socialize with the family.
