Look. I can hang with foodies. I have wide and varied tastes and love to try new things. I've enjoyed fine dining and incredible home cooking, and I love high-quality, natural foods.This product is not that. And I can't get enough of it.First off, I would really prefer it if the packaging was vacuum-sealed. Just that little bit of extra effort would go a long way to preventing the freshness issues some folks have reported. I transfer mine to a gallon ziplock-style bag immediately after opening.Second, it's astonishingly greasy. Some pieces here and there are noticeably much softer because they contain so much fat, and if you're not careful, you can actually — and this is true — experience a stream of congealed beef fat shooting out of your mouth if you bite down wrong. Chew with your dang mouth closed, and use a fork to spear them if you need/want clean hands.The flavor is pretty much exactly like a Slim Jim, but they're a lot bigger in diameter. If that's your thing, you will love this mess like I do. It's a very strong flavor, by which I mean the flavor will grab you by the tongue and punch you repeatedly in the face. I can't overstate how much I appreciate this about it.To be perfectly honest one of the biggest upsides of this product is that it reduces food waste. I'm sure the extra income is a big plus for the company as well, but either way less food — especially food as environmentally costly as beef — going to waste is a huge plus in my book.I'm about to buy my third bag and I know I'll be back for more. The value is incredible, the flavor is intense, the casing is nice and crisp... Honestly, if you're not classist or vegetarian, what more could you ask for in a snack?

I used to buy these by the cases about 13 years ago. Then I moved and just ordered a few pacackages at a time. They had a couple of flaws but in my opinion the taste made up for them. Over the last few years they kept changing something that changed the taste and texture.I stopped ordering as often because they were not the same. It has been a couple of years but I did order two packages. I don't know what happened but I will never order them again. They are not vacuum sealed they are dry and taste like cardboard. My dogs will be happy with their new treats.I liked the sealed package of greasy and juicy beef sticks.

This is mainly the ends of the jerky when they're making the uniformed main jerky sticks. Basically it's the leftovers but it's the exact same jerky for about 1/10 of the price. I put them in separate sandwich bags when they came and experimented with a couple. I put Liquid Smoke, just a little bit of water, and types of seasoning into four of the bags. I let them sit at room temperature for a day and then kept them in the fridge. When I pulled them out I put them in my air fryer on 180° for 15 minutes to get rid of excess oil and seasoning. All of them can retain flavor if you brine them so you can actually make multiple types of jerky out of this one batch. It is a little bit oily but when you're dealing with jerky that's bound to happen unless it's a finished product that has been run through every heating cooling drying and cleaning process of a main line product. For what it is it is really good deal and I will be buying this again and again

Really great flavor very over priced

There are two different versions of the product. One version is the consistency and look of Slim Jims. They're a little less greasy and have better texture. The other version is like a summer sausage. These are super greasy and mushy. The problem is that you don't know what version you're going to get.

I love this brand. I have been buying them for years now because they taste great and can be used in all kinds of different ways or even just eaten by themselves as a low effort snack. This flavor in particular is quite spicy (much more than I was expecting) which is fine by me because I like spicy things, but it could definitely be a turn off for people who don't.-My only complaint (more of a warning) Is that these are usually very greasy and if eaten by themselves in large quantities you will regret it.

I order these time to time , and what I got was not what i anticipated. The stick itself was the sausage version and not the “slim Jim” version . I was highly disappointed and upset .

I have a meat tooth. Not a sweet tooth. This huge bag actually lasts a few sittings versus your standard grocery store options. Tastes great, a bit greasy but that’s normal for meat sticks. Good flavor great value for the quantity.
