Very light duty suited for DIY
I have given this compression tester 4 stars because it is extremely light duty and when you place the thread adaptor onto the hose and screw it firmly into the spark plug hole upon removal the thread adaptor can remain in the spark plug hole and the hose comes out by it's self. Depending the design of the engine and how difficult it is to get to the thread adapter it can be very difficult to remove. You can tighten the adapter to the hose with a couple of pliers and that problem goes away. The price is very good and the product is with the money. For occasional DIY it is totally sufficient.

In addition to the rubber hoses, it has the metal tubes which is a big plus
This is a very nice kit.I already have a 14 mm extension tube that runs down that you can put the tester on. I’ve never been comfortable with the testers that you put a rubber hose in with an O-ring because on a rare occasion it’s really hard to get those out and I’m speaking from a spark plug it down inside the head, for example, on a twin motor like it’s a great price. I think you’ll be happy with it.What about the rubber hoses have the solid straight tube and one angular tube that you put the meter directly on and you don’t have to worry about something coming loose. You just have somebody in the car tap the starter a few seconds and then you read the spark plug cylinder kit.

Tester seems ok, but could not use as 14mm long reach adapter not included in set
1998 Ford Ranger XLT 2.5L inline 4cyl. Found that there is no long reach 14mm adapter required for this vehicle. Thread depth on the14mm adapter in this kit is standard length, but not enough to engage the spark plug threads Wish that would’ve been stated in description or better yet include the long reach 14mm adapter hose in set.I had to use the rubber tipped adapter but as others have said it’s inconsistent. Too bad return window has expired for me
