Seeing is believing. Skip The No-Name Brands
There have been times I could not get the Cuisinart Charcoal Water Filters for my coffee pot and thus thought I had found quite a bargain in buying a generic brand. On a whim I decided to compare Cuisinart with the bargain brand. As you can see - the Cuisinart filter cover is more opaque and just felt tighter when pinched. I wondered if it was just my imagination. I decided to throw them on my kitchen scale to see if I was correct. The Cuisinart filter was not only covered with a better material but also weighed a full gram more providing the actual water filtration I was looking for. Quality costs more for a reason. Cuisinart does not skimp. If your going to go through the trouble to use the filter in your coffee maker donβt you want the one that will work as advertised?

Buy the real deal - not the knock-offs
It was that time again when I ran out of filters. I always choose the brand over the imitation ones because they just work better to make great tasting coffee. This bundle was a good deal price-wise and I am set for a long while with filters. Great purchase.

Looks great but fits perfectly.
You know you need this for your coffee maker. We cannot buy them locally so this option was what we needed. And, as I noted above, they fit and they work.

Economical price for OEM water filters for Cuisinart coffee makers
I'm not sure if these water filters really do anything to improve the coffee, but I always use one of these in my Cuisinart coffee maker. The package of 12 filters is much more economical than buying six filters. They used to be easy to find in a retail store. However, now that they have become more scarce, they seem to always be available here on Amazon.Although the water filters look the same as the ones used for the Keurig, they are a different size. The two are not compatible with each other. I am guessing, with the popularity of the Keurig coffee maker, those filters are more common in retail stores.

Exactly what I expected. Fit perfectly.
Filters exactly as described. Appear to be OEM, not repackaged knock-offs. Fit perfectly in my DCC-1200's filter holder.Usually I am happy with knock-offs in any product category, but in this case I chose to pay slightly more for the Cuisinart brand since, as others indicated, no-names have a bigger risk of having who-knows-what in their charcoal. No guarantee of course - I'm sure Cuisinart outsources their filter production - but in this case the brand name gives me some measure of comfort. When I rinsed the new one out initially, per instructions, I noticed no charcoal bits "leaking" out of the filter. In terms of coffee quality...I'd never replaced the original filter until now (2+ years). Not sure the new one made a difference in coffee taste - our incoming water quality is very good - but the old filter did appear slightly brownish.I knocked off a star because some of the boxes were crushed in shipping; no damage to filters.
