Norton 360 is excellent, update any old prejudice against Norton
I'm old enough to remember the excellent Norton utilities, which mutated from a small, fast suite of MS DOS tools into a bloated, resource-hungry mess. Likewise, Norton Antivrirus was, not too long ago, a bit of a resource-hungry monster that could slow down a PC almost as much as the viruses it was supposed to be protecting you from. That, my friend is history.Norton 360 is excellent. Not only do you get first-class virus protection, you also get dark web monitoring to tell you if your personal details are being sold on the dark web, you get a fast VPN (I mean really fast, I've had VPN speeds of over 100mbps on my 200mbps Virgin broadband), cloud backup (just enough for Windows, but not enough for a load of installed games/software, so I don't use it.), a password manager, and parental controls.Frankly, it's worth the cost just for the VPN: 12 months fast VPN for 5 devices for £15? What sorcery is this?! (And yes, the Virus protection and VPN works on my Android phone and tablet). The downside? Installation is fairly simple, but unintuitive, and for the financially paranoid (like me) a bit harrowing. I don't like having to give my financial details to install software, but I found I did with Norton 360, even though I'd bought it from Amazon. Happily, it's easy to cancel the auto-renew, but it's a bit messy and Norton should do better. It's even messier if you're upgrading from an older version of Norton Security Deluxe, as it's not just a simple install, you have to completely clear off the old software and it's not intuitive or particularly quick. But for a fresh install, this is great! I was a died in the wool AVG user, but I'm on my third year of Norton now, (2nd year of Norton 360) and I'm loving it. Unreservedly recommended, but you may need a little tech support.

Auto renew
First of all, a lot cheaper than buying from Norton , and instant activation code from Amazon. However, I already had Norton on my devices, with a couple of weeks left, and assumed this would be added , giving me 1 year and 2 weeks. It didn't !. So, if you already have Norton, either don't buy or install until just before your subscription expires. Also, you still have to enter your bank details to activate the new subscription, so it can be auto renewed. Just remember to cancel that when you are up and running !

Same Great Protection—Much Better Price
I’ve been using Norton for years, and when it came time to renew, I found it was much cheaper to buy a new copy of Norton 360 Deluxe 2025 than to renew directly through the software. Glad I did—installation was quick, and it picked up right where my old subscription left off.The protection is top-notch as always, with strong antivirus, a built-in VPN, password manager, and even dark web monitoring. It runs smoothly in the background without slowing down my system, and I feel confident knowing my devices are covered. If you’re due for renewal, definitely check the price of a new box first—it saved me a good chunk of money for the exact same coverage.

Works really effectively.
I’ve been using Norton since Norton himself.!!! Great product. Turn off automatic renewal unless you’re rich. It will pester you to turn back on, ignore it. Buy product with multiple devices available. Has great VPN on Laptop, mobile phone etc. Storage is different to Google drive, it’s a batch upload system. Being online it has limited use. Would take way too long to back up even a laptop. Ok for backing up photos, music and some essential applications data. Video collection would take ages to upload. Look out for version with PC tools included. Much cheaper than buying separately. This version doesn’t have that. Easy to install and just gets on with it in the background.

DO NOT INSTALL
Do NOT buy. I had issues with Norton years ago so avoided until now. After installation my laptop slowed down then random programmes failed to launch. The interface is just a muddle, My broadband was so slow web pages wouldn't open. That was it after 1 day I uninstalled it using the Norton uninstall tool. That wasn't the end though, certain programmes wouldn't run so had to be uninstalled then re installed. I'm still finding problems so will probably have to re install windows 11. What a total waste of money. 1 star is too much to give but o isn't available.

Norton
I've used Norton Antivirus for years, and it's been great at keeping my devices safe. It’s easy to set up and simple to use. Norton protects against all sorts of threats like viruses, malware, phishing and has build in VPN. VPN is sometime slow for some counties but overall sufficient to my needs. It updates regularly, so I feel confident it’s catching new risks. One thing I like is that it doesn’t slow down my computer while working in the background which was the case in the past. Overall, it’s reliable, efficient, and gives me peace of mind. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for strong antivirus protection.
