I got this to replace my old 500W halogen light, and I absolutely made the right choice.My old lamp used a traditional halogen bulb, and it got really hot, used massive amounts of energy, took up loads of space when I wasn't using it, and as a final nail in its coffin, the builder who put up our extension covered it in plaster.This new one is better in every way. It's much more sturdy than I was expecting, because the frame is made from metal tube, and the red surround around the glass also seems to be metal not plastic. It's correspondingly heavy, but that means it doesn't fall over.The frame is hinged so it goes flat for storage, or to a right angle when it's free-standing. The lamp tilts up and down separately from the frame, so you can point it exactly where you want. There's even a hook included so you can hang it up.The spread of light is really good - nearly 180 degrees. It's decently bright, without dazzling. It's certainly more than enough for working in a loft or garage without electrics. There's a dimmer knob on the back so you can set the brightness how you want it. It's an LED, so it uses very little energy, and it runs on rechargeable batteries so there's no annoying cable to trip over.The battery life depends entirely on the battery you fit. It uses the Power X-Change batteries, so you can fit anything from 2AH to 6AH. The light works exactly the same whatever battery you fit, it just runs for longer with the bigger battery. I have found the 2AH to be perfectly adequate, and it's not as heavy if you need to carry the lamp about.If you are buying this as your only Einhell tool, it's a bit expensive as you'll need a charger and battery. If you already have some Einhell tools and batteries, this is a really useful addition to the collection. At the discounted price, it's definitely worth getting.

I have steadily been growing my collection of Einhell Power XChange tools over the past few years simply because I am really impressed with the quality and value, and this light is no exception.I now have 10 Einhell tools and 5 batteries, as it is very rare that I will need to use more than 3 or 4 tools at a time, so costs are kept lower than if I was to have tools by different manufacturers.This light has made a huge difference to working outside during this time of shorter days. I'm able to get more done now even after the sun has set.The amount of light is perfect and it is very bright on its maximum setting, just make sure not to stare straight at it, otherwise your vision will be impaired for quite some time until your pupils have had time to recover lol.It seems to be very sturdy and the clip included so that it can be hung up also looks as though it will last a decent amount of time.There are cheaper alternatives, but I doubt that they will be as well made as this one is.

Another excellent tool which is part of the 18v Einhell Power X battery system.Light provides good levels of adjustable brightness and is very bright at full power. We keep this handy for powercuts as projecting the light onto the ceiling illuminates the entire living room.Robust and well made, great value, definitely worth buying if you already have a Power X battery.

It has a really useful dimmer feature, so you can control how bright it is. It comes with a s hook, so you can hang it on things if the built in stand is suitable. It's vert strudy and good quality.

Powerful and robust, you can adjust brightness, easy to use. If you own the batteries already for other products in the range this is a no brainer. Bought another for parents as emergency light in powercuts. Great for diy electrical work when power off or going in the loft... anywhere you need a good mobile light.

I've got three of these now. They work really well, have three brightness levels and can be run on a rechargeable battery (not supplied) or with a mains transformer (note that the transformer DOES NOT charge the battery). They have a multitude of hanging holes, a tripod thread and a hook. I have deducted one star because two of them came with a transformer with the desired three-pin UK plug, but one came with a two-pin plug. I kept it and use it with an adapter in the shed, but it may not be ideal for everyone.
