Normally these cookies are very good and I have never even thought to check the expiration date but I did this time after tasting the first one. They appeared a bit dusty and the taste was stale. The expiration date was 4/30/25. These weren’t technically expired but definitely not the normal quality or a value for the money.Update today 3/25/25 I received an email from the company offering a full refund for the cookies so there do read these reviews. However the second box out of the 3 with same expiration date was normal and delicious. The company did not ask me to update review but since they cared enough to send the email offer I felt it only right.

Usually love these, but this package was not fresh
The chocolate has melted so, the cookies look old and not fresh. I was unable to serve these. They were crumbly. And since I had already opened them, I could not return them.I purchase these every year for my calculus class when I teach Newton and Leibniz notation. Such a disappointment this morning!

German dad approved!
My boyfriend's dad is German and he loves sweets. Chocolate is one of his favorites, but I wanted to give him something a little different. Some research showed that this is a popular, known brand in Germany, so I took the plunge and bought him a three pack. His face lit up when I handed them to him, as he immediately recognized the brand as something he ate back in his childhood. It was a lovely moment!Taste-wise, he said that these were good. He didn't mention any sort of melting and I didn't see any evidence of this with the packaging either, so this batch traveled well. I think that it would've been a different story if it were during summer, but that's to be expected.
