Great place to start
Just bought 2 paddleboards for me and my daughter (or whoever may come along) So far I've done the Fern ridge backwater trip (interesting but the water is gross) Waldo Lake (Gorgeous Torqoise to Bluewater) and Clear lake (Also beautiful crystal clear water) the book was a great primer on waters that surround my area as I am from California and recently moved here. There are Maps and tips that are very valuable.

This Book Has Inspired Me to Plan a Kayaking Trip to Oregon
Excellent, detailed book for paddle boarders, canoers and kayakers who want to see some beautiful areas of Oregon. In fact, I'm using this book to plan a week-long trip to Central Oregon this August - can't wait! I understand that publishing a book is expensive, but I would have liked to see color photos to go along with each place the author described. On the other hand, you can always look up plenty of pics on the internet. I'm recommending this book to readers of my kayaking blog.

One happy Oregonian!!
I ordered this book because I live in Southern Oregon on the east side if the Cascades. I just got into Paddle boarding this summer and was looking for places to check ou that were off the beaten path. Most of the locations are within a two hour drive of my house so I already have a trip to a Waldo Lake planned. I will be writing in the places I go. But I'm excited for next summer. This book is amazing, it is organized by regions so it will be my go to when traveling...

A great resource for flat water kayakers.
Looking for places to Kayak in and around Eugene, OR was a little annoying, googling lots of out of date articles and trying to stitch together info from various places. that was, until I found this book. A concise, direct, and useful guide, with maps and suggested put in areas. If you are looking for places to paddle in Oregon, this book should top your list.

Limited
Like most "## best anything" books it'll get very limited use. But I always fall for them. I might try 2 or 3 then nothing else so it gets forgotten on the book shelf.

Well worth buying
Great guide. The rankings are subjective of course, but the author explains his rationale so that I can decide if I’d enjoy each place to the same extent. Invaluable tips for each paddle that would be hard to find elsewhere. This was recommended to me by another paddler I encountered on Sauvie Island, and I just ordered a second copy for a friend.

Great guide
Great book, like having your own guide. An index, labels on the maps (they're after the descriptions, facing the beginning of the next paddle, not labeled), and a number reference on the best-of lists would make it perfect.

The Bible for kayaking
This should be the Bible of kayaking in Oregon! It has great information about really amazing places to paddle with very complete information and tips. I wish it was named something different or had a different cover photo because it feels like a book only for paddle boarding. We used it exclusively for kayaking and found it to be the best!
