Good value

This is a good product. They should write a better use manual for it showing which of the three RJ45 sockets to use for each test. Happy with my purchase.

Great tool with lots of functions

This is a great tool for every IT guy that has to deal with installing or troubleshooting cabling. It does the same as the more expensive 'yellow' brand. The only difference is that the yellow devices use only one connector for all functions and this one has four different ones for different functions, which can be a bit confusing sometimes, hence the 4 stars. It does indicate on the screen which connector to use, so that helps. The interface is a bit clunky, but once you get the hang of the buttons, it's not bad, so for the price, you can't beat it.

Definitely a lifesaver

Makes short work of testing your rj45 cable runs, and then sorting them all after you forget to label them. The battery life has been great. Have tested and sorted a 20+ cables and it's still showing near full charge.

Defective

Took delivery of a factory sealed unit. Attempted to test multiple known good cables and one suspected bad cable using the continuity test. I was expecting straight lines (on a straight-through cable) showing a connection between pin 1 to pin 1, pin to pin 2, etc. But instead, every time I ran the test I got a different and non-nonsensical result showing random pin 1 to pin 7 or pin1 connected to multiple pins when I know for a fact that the cable was a straight through and working when I pulled it out of the network. Oddly, this tester has several different ports based on the type of test being run and I did make sure I had the cable connected to the correct port. The length test appeared to work but I bought this specifically to confirm pinouts and electrical integrity of the cable, and that clearly did not work so I returned the unit.

I wanted to like this...

I have been using scan/toner tools for a little over 3 years. I have a preference for the toner wand to have a more narrow needle at the point. the problem that I had in the toner wand is, how non-intuitive it is when it comes to function. there are two scan modes and the ncv mode (which i rarely used) the scan mode should have some light indication between analog and digital signals. I ran into an issue however, while tracing a cable to a customers IT closet. I could get tone from the cable into the patch panel. which vanished; this was after swapping between analog and digital.i think that the device has a lot of functions, especially ones that overlap on others, but for my needs, the device does tick off a few things but does them on a more subpar level that the investment in hardware that will, in fact due the job but 'more'. Fluke comes to mind of having sturdy and well designed devices that will perform functions similar to the Noyafa, but, 'better'. The multifunction button to move around the selections is fine, but, while I tried to test, some of the functions would time out, i'd get a poorer signal (port flashing and digital signal) I was told that a digital signal toner would perform much better over some analog ones I've had in the past and testing the individual cables before termination to tone feels more problematic since i have testing tools for multiple ports for tone and test.In a nutshell, from my taking this out on a few runs in different settings. I found that the device is worth the money if you can get beyond the instruction manual reading like a catch-all device for any and everything networking related. I didn't find it easy to read or even informative and the likes of online youtube reviews are over a few years old. I think, with a bit more testing and some options to expand the body of the toner, simplifying the language and making the instructions a little more in depth. maybe a step by step on what to expect in each of the functions or a pdf would help. the USB-C charging is great, not having to pull extra batteries to swap in, the other cables are nice spares, but I opted to go back to a klein toner /probe set for the time being.
