Prewett's Instant Organic Chicory Drink 100g (Pack of 3)

I have used this chicory as a coffee substitute for a few years now since I was told to avoid caffeine. Why waste my time on decaf coffee when I can have this?! It's delicious and I always take some in a small bottle when I'm out so that I can have it when others are having coffee (and usually coffee shops don't mind when I explain the intolerance and charge me a minimal amount for hot water and a splash of milk. One barista in Smithfield market asked to taste it and said it was so good they may well start to stock it! The bottles always come exceptionally well wrapped and very quickly. I like the taste of the other one that Prewetts do which is roasted, but this organic one, whilst tasting slightly different but better for me, is delicious too. Highly recommended.

I love my coffee but like to limit my caffeine. This all natural drink has therefore been a staple kitchen item of mine for years as a coffee alternative. Reaalllllllyy delicious! Tastes a bit like coffee but with an added sweetness. I have most evenings and tastes almost like a hot chocolate. Love the stuff.

I love chicory for a caffeine free alternative to coffee. This one is smooth & tasty and makes a lovely chico-ccino.

Taste is nice

Due to dietary issues I can no longer have coffee so while looking for an alternative I came upon this, it’s good, I know it’s not the real thing but you can dunk your biscuit in and get the same sort of hit! Would definitely recommend. I even frothed some coconut milk and added to it delicious!

There are different brands of chicory. But we love this one the most for its flavour.

Have been buying this in bulk for the last few months after trying a jar. It is a good coffee alternative with a rich flavour. I really like the taste, but my daughter does not enjoy it at all. More for me I guess.I would suggest getting a single jar and just going all in to see if you like it or can get accustomed to the taste.Only criticism is that this is as expensive as a good brand of coffee, so if you aren't desperate to switch i.e. not a heavy coffee drinker looking for an out, then you may want to stick with regular coffee. Unless you just want to move away from coffee because it is not all that good for your gut.

I love this stuff! I have to avoid coffee these days, which I admit was pretty devastating to discover! However last month I thought I'd give this a try. It was a little strange at first as it's like coffee, but not like coffee! I'd read reviews saying so, but you really have to try it yourself to understand. It does have a bitterness but it's also quite creamy. I drink mine with oat milk. I've come to much prefer it to coffee and wouldn't change back now even if I could. In two full months I've worked my way through five jars, although you do need to add about two rounded teaspoons in a mug. It's maybe a little expensive but I think it's worth a try to see if you like it, especially if you're trying to cut down/out caffeine. Plus, chicory is good for your friendly gut bacteria!
