I needed to add security camera at a specific location in my house, I had an existing security camera at that spot but need to add second one to achieve good coverage. Unfortunately I don't have any unused/spare Cat5 cable going to that location, but using this network+POE splitter I was able to connect two POE security cameras to a single cable. The splitter acts as a network switch, also it provides POE power to 2 downstream devices using upstream POE source.Since upstream POE source can be POE+ (802.3at), power budget is 30 watt, providing 12-13 watt per downstream POE device - more than enough for most security cameras.The splitter is compact, I was able to hide it inside the junction box, making it clean installation.

I have a ten camera reolink system. It worked perfectly for half a year or so before the camera farthest away started randomly dropping. Another year later the second farthest camera started randomly DROPPING. A reddit comment made me realize that over time the power supplies of these NVR start failing over time and recommended this device which I didn't even know existed.I have no Idea of the science of these. It's not powered separately so all the power is still coming from the nvr, yet using it and plugging in two cameras restored interruption free service. Time will tell if this is a reliable device but for now I am very pleased.

Easy to use and works great. Especially if you don’t want to invest in yet another switch.

Was broken when it arrived - possibly bad shipping but also probably bad construction. Don't know if fixed if it would work or not.

I’m been using these units for my ip cameras at parking lots easy for over 700 ft so far I love them. They haven't been let down for over a yearKeep ordering it. So far no one fail on me

I verified the two devices that I wanted to share power and ethernet were under the 30w rating and plugged them both into the one wire I had hanging already. Both devices powered up and work perfectly. One is a gigabit wireless AP, and the other a 100Mbps IP camera. This device works great for both!

one of the best investments when you have add additional poe devices to one existing Ethernet wire also these things are so durable I live in Florida and we have extreme heat and so many lightening storms prior before this I would have a standard 4 port POE switch plugged into a water proof junction box I would have to change the poe switch at least once a year because of the storms so far these devices are rock solid
