Best Travel Flosser Hands Down

I've been using this flosser about a year now - took it on probably twenty trips including several international trips. It's dual voltage so all you need is a plug adapter. To me, it's the perfect travel flosser. Firstly, it doesn't have a battery so you can put it in your checked baggage. Besides, I tried a couple different battery models and they just don't have enough power or reservoir capacity. This one actually has as much power as my home unit and I rarely have to refill the tank. It's also very compact. The case is a little soft as others have commented and could damage the flossing wand if packed against something hard in your suitcase. I bought the third-party hard case which has worked well for me - no problems. I dry the tank out with a towel and blow the hose dry each time, takes but a minute, and mine still looks brand new. Look no further for a travel flosser - this one has it all.

Useful water capacity in a compact unit

Long time user of Water Pik brand water flossers. I bought this one for travel because it is compact, but unlike the all-in-one battery type units, it offers a useful water capacity. I require enough water to floss top and bottom teeth both inside and outside along the gum line. Also I want to move slowly enough to allow debris to be fully flushed out. Otherwise what is the point? The water in the handle units provide only 40 seconds of flossing between refills. Really? Not for me. This one provides about a minute and a half, which most often I find adequate. Worst case is one refill and that is acceptable. Otherwise it is just as powerful as my regular unit. It does not have multiple tool options, but I only use the standard one anyway. Because the power cord plugs into the back, in use the footprint sink side is no smaller than a standard unit. So the compact feature is confined to portability only. It quickly assembles/disassembles and is a very intuitive design. Like all Water Pik products it seems well made and should provide years of life.

(Nearly) Perfect travel companion

We have been using this Water Pik for 4 years on multiple trips, national and international. It has held up very well, and the cleaning power is at least as good as our stationary unit at home.It is a bit of a squeeze but the pouch will hold two tips and hoses. The universal voltage is nice, but you’ll need to bring a suitable adapter with you. There is really only one small gripe: space in hotel bathrooms is always very limited. The cable sticking out of the back of the base takes up a lot of room. If it were plugged in where the power adapter goes for storage, it would be so much less wasted space. But that’s really it.It’s still pumping hard, doesn’t leak, and is easy to use all in a surprisingly small package. (I had a handheld battery operated unit for a while and hated it: it was bigger, more difficult to fill, and had less pressure)Your teeth will thank you for this one.

Tiny, Portable and Powerful Flosser

Just purchased this tiny but powerful water glosser. These are recommended and sold by the periodontist that I see twice per year for deep cleaning. They sell for around $140 in the office , so they are slightly less expensive on Amazon. The white version is actually $99. I have a standard Waterpik at home but needed a travel size. I had purchased the cordless in the past but was underwhelmed, as I just could not get the pressure I needed. Because this has a cord, you really get the pressure . I just do two rounds because the reservoir is smaller than full size . It packs nice and neatly into purse, tote or suitcase. Use it at home, work or while traveling. Perfect for people with crowns, implants. Perfect for small bathroom vanities.

A Must Have for Travel but...

This review is for the Waterpik Sidekick (WF-04). I travel exclusively for my job. I also have an implant which gets food particles stuck that only a water flosser will remove. So having a travel friendly, compact yet powerful water flosser is crucial for me. This flosser hits all the high points and is a must have item for me.The Waterpik Sidekick is compact yet powerful. Because it plugs into AC power, it commands more oomph than a traditional battery powered flosser. The fact it breaks down into a compact size for travel, makes it almost perfect!I say almost perfect for 2 reasons:1. The stylus (wand) is fragile. Mine is fine, but this seems to be the overwhelming negative comment about this Waterpik. Upon receiving the Waterpik Sidekick, I agree it's a relatively fragile piece of plastic. Therefore, I suggest using kid gloves when handling this stylus. Lastly, this stylus should've been designed to allow for tip exhanges. As it is, you are stuck with the tip installed on the stylus (it's all one unit--cord and tip). This is a significant oversight by the design team. Try looking for replacement styluses for this unit before purchasing. As of today, there are none to be found...all out of stock even at the online Waterpik store. With all that said, if you're gentle handling this stylus, all should be okay.2. The travel case. The travel case is nice but it's soft. As it relates to the fragile stylus (hand wand), it would've been nice to design the case where the stylus has a dedicated place. Instead, you just shove it along with the electrical cord in a side pocket. This exposes the stylus to potential damage. Therefore, if you buy this water flosser, I highly recommend getting a hard case for it (Amazon sells cases specifically made for the WF-04). It's an added cost to an already expensive machine....but worth it to protect your investment.Overall, a great unit...it might just be the best travel water flosser on the market. I cannot speak to its longevity but so far so good. If you can be gentle with the stylus then I highly recommend it!

Best travel Waterpik

This is the best travel Waterpik that I have owned. I'm a dental hygienist and this Waterpik can do the full mouth in one tank compared to all the others that can only do one arch at a time. It is a lot more compact than the others so will fit well in a suitcase.
