I purchased this looking for a more affordable alternative to pricy espresso machine descaling solution, and this bag fit the bill!I have a Breville Bambino Plus, and the machine comes with one pouch of brand-official descaling powder for your first descaling cycle. After I ran out, I searched for tons of alternatives. Urnex’s Dezcal came up as an option and seems to be very popular, but I wasn’t willing to spend that much for a handful of cleanings. Citric Acid does the job just as well for a fraction of the price — such a better value!Descale Recipe:All you need is 1tbsp of Citric Acid powder (or just 20g) per liter of water. Mix your citric acid with the water and fully dissolve it with a good stir before loading your machine with the descaling solution, run your descaling cycle, then rinse out your water tank and replace with fresh coffee water (I use Crystal Geiser spring water from California in my espresso machine! It’s recommended by LaMarzocco as an ideal coffee water. Pro tip!). And bam. A perfectly descaled machine and great tasting coffee! :)This particular bag was very affordable, and the fine grain dissolved quickly with a stir. Highly recommend, and it worked really well! :) So glad I opted for this instead of pricier options.

As I'm sure many people do, we have multiple uses for citric acid around our house and I've come to rely on this brand. With Viva Doria my results in making cleaners, soap, bath bombs, in recipes for my family has consistently good results. The cost is better via Amazon too. Absolutely worth the money and I highly recommend it.

It’s what it says it is. I’ve used a coarser grind in the past, like kosher salt, but it doesn’t matter for my uses (primarily cleaning a distiller). This is a finer grind like table salt or sugar.Better price is why I bought this.

I was extremely skeptical of this when it arrived. I bought it to help with the hard water and lime deposits in my toilet. Then realized people use this for food… my bad. I was pouring it into the toilet bowl and it got top heavy and ended up pouring the entire bag in accidentally. I let it sit for a couple of hours and went to scrub the toilet and SURPRISE it ALL went away!! I wished I had taken pictures because it was truly disgusting and now it’s like new. No joke.

I used this to make homemade dishwasher detergent. Worked good in the dishwasher, but it's so powerful it loosened all the gunk in my pipes and ended up with a major clog. If you want to clean pipes, go for it. If you have an older home, don't.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased this citric acid to use in my homemade dishwasher mixture. Works great and price wasn’t bad at all! Will be purchasing again!

I used this as stated in the manual to my Brio water dispenser for cleaning. I noticed a funky smell in the water so I pulled out the manual, I knew you had to clean, flush the lines, I remember reading it should be done every 6 months I was just at the 6 month mark of owning it so I bought this and did the task. Most people don't know your supposed to clean even a water cooler it's not just use forever and do nothing. This stuff did a great job.
