BARSKA External Battery Pack for Biometric Safes

Simple solution to a catastrophic dilemma when attempting to open Barska Biometric gun safe only to find that the batteries died in the interim. My husband couldn't find his key to open the safe. Fortunately after making several attempts to open the safe, there was just enough "juice" in the battery to allow access to the safe and we changed the batteries so we are now good to go again. However, since that situation, I came across this little gem and figured it was a no brainer to have this as a "just in case" so we would never be faced with a gun safe and no way to access. Still can't find the key and instead of trying to get a replacement through Barska, figured the external battery pack was the answer. It is now in a safe place (not locked in the safe mind you) and readily available should we ever need it. Odd thing is our safe never gave a warning of low battery that I am aware of. Will check it more periodically in the future. Recommend as a means of backup to open safe.

Use this back up battery pack on my fingerprint ID, Barska safe. The batteries that were on the inside of the safe were dead, and the emergency keys were not available. Worked like a champ.!

Works as described. In my infinite stupidity I failed to replace the battery in my Barska bio-metric safe until it was too late. Couldn't locate the physical key option to open the safe which resulted in this purchase.

I couldn't find the emergency key for my Barska safe and noticed that it had a jack receptacle on it, which led me to this product. Great solution. This is my emergency key now! Highly recommend if this is compatible with your safe.

So - you are here because your safe is locked with no power. If you are dumb like me, you might have forgotten where the spare key is. Good news and bad news. Good news is, if you had already recorded your print, this device will work great. Bad news is that, if like me, you had not recorded the print before the damn thing ran out of battery, then this will not do any good.Instead - there is an alternative. If you yank your safe off the ground and shake it into the ground not too hard, the locking mechanism will give in. Same technique can be used in small safes. Do it in a soft surface, like a carpet and it will do the trick..I saw that in a youtube video.. I could've saved the money I spent on this device if I had done that before...
