Q: I wonder if anyone used a Karlby ikea top ? I know the spec says 160cm max for the desktop nut Karlby is 186cm, is it a problem ?

I use the ikea desk top (186cm) and there are no issues. I have it just placed on top of the desk frame (no screws) and it has no wobbles or stability issues.

Not an answer but seems I'm unable to ask my own question. I have a preexisting desk (legs included) and do not own a drill. My legs are in desperate need of a standing desk and this seems to the cheapest solution. Could I just position this item underneath as close to the existing desk legs as possible? It will mainly remain in the stand position because my health has suffered that badly from sitting down long hours wfh during lockdown and afterwards. I'd appreciate if anyone could answer.
