I bought this Spirulina powder to color items for an upcoming birthday party. I wanted a natural alternative to artificial dyes but with blue color. I put 1/4 top in a glass of milk and blended it up to see if it would color it sufficiently and whether it would taste odd.To my surprise, the small amount changed the color of the milk significantly blue. Obviously it is pastel because it started out white, but there was strong enough color that I think it will be perfect for what I plan to use it for. There's no smell, and in my opinion no taste! I was shocked! I expected an earthy taste. I did have to use a small milk frother to blend the powder fully as it floated and clumped in some spots at the top. It is a small bag, but a very little amount went a long way so this should last you a while.I did not buy this for the health benefits (except the healthy absence of artificial dyes), but I am looking forward to taking it and seeing the results.

You cannot taste any of the algae powder, it only leaves a brilliant blue color in all manner of foods and drinks. I recommend using this if you are looking for a natural alternative for food coloring.

Basically I bought this to jazz up my homemade electrolyte drink. I didn't notice any taste of the ocean but then I used it with unsweetened coconut water. Included is a picture of my 1oz pkg of spirulina next to a can of chickpeas. I wasn't paying too much attention to the size. So this product is pricy but I'd buy it again for the natural dye.

I just try to be healthier. This could help me a lot by adding little bit of blue powder. Making my smoothie looks delicious. Just little pricey. I believe it’s no flavor.

I wanted to recreate a smoothie bowl I had in Hawaii and this worked perfectly! It was a smaller bag than what I expected but you don’t need much so it will last for a while. It did make my fingers blue but washed off easily. Would also work for baked goods

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this to add to kombucha for color. And a little goes a long way, a half tsp in a 16 oz bottle turns a brilliant blue.

I made dog treats with this and plain yogurt. My dogs love them!

I couldn't wait to get this... It makes my drink so pretty and the health benefits are amazing. I did it expect it to be bigger. Easy to use, not gritty and love the seal on the package.
